wait a minute....is it the same church but just a different service (time of day)? or what??? Different church building? you lost me here.

Na- same denomination- different building. Different town too. Her congregation is ultra modern- to the point of being a bit too wild for me. Our congregation is pretty conservative- but that works well for us. She thinks EVERYONE should want to be contemporary and experimental.

Not everyone does want to be...we have two services at our church...a contemporary and a Traditional...

Contemporary is at 9am
Traditional is at 10:30am

It works our really well. I prefer the Contemporary Service but I wouldn't critisize anyone because they didn't want to come to that one. It gives a nice laid back atmosphere.

You can come live in my town too- but I don't know if I can legally sponsor TWO of you... will have to look into it. Actually- I think you can claim refugee status... ;)

Did I already tell you all that the guy that fixed our computer can't recover ANY of my PC information?

So EVERY show (about 67 shows) I've ever done with ALL the contacts are LOST FOREVER!

That happened to me two years ago. I took it as an opportunity to start on a clean slate and #1- learn my lesson about backing up OFF the computer, and #2 I started giving BRILLIANT customer care to the shows I got because I didn't have all the old ones to distract me.

That is what I have- I keep it on my keychain.

I love cake batter. When my mom would make a cake when we were little we would all fight over who was going to get to lick the batter off of the mixer.

Here in case anyone else wants to try this pumpkin trifle....I am not great at writing recipes so I hope you can understand what I was saying...

Cake Layer
1 Box Vanilla Cake Mix (and ingredients to make it)
1 Tbsp Cinnamon Plus (I made it with 1 2/3Tbsp but I think that it was too much, I would reduce it to about either 1 Tbsp or 1 1/2 Tbsp)

Pumpkin Layer
1 Large Box Vanilla Pudding
1 1/2 cup Milk
1 (15oz) can pumpkin (without spices)
3/4 tsp Cinnamon Plus
16 oz Frozen Whipped topping (thawed)

Top Layer
1 Small Box French Vanilla Pudding
1 Cup Milk
8 oz Frozen Whipped topping (thawed)

1) Mix the Cinnamon Plus in with the cake mix, add the other ingredients that the box calls for. Bake. When cool, cube.

2)Mix large box of pudding, 1 1/2 cups of milk, Can Pumpkin, and Cinnamon Plus mix that well, fold in 16 oz Whipped Topping

3)Combine 1 cup Milk, Small box of Pudding, fold in 8 oz whipped topping.

To assemble your trifle place part of the cubed cake in the trifle bowl, put pumpkin mixture on top of that then top with pudding mixture. Repeat.

I did 2 layers of each but you could do 3 as most of them call for.

Ours has it the other way around..Traditional early and Contemporary later on...I think it's because they are trying to get more "younger" (over 18) in and if it's the later service they have a better chance of getting them there.

Ours is because they didn't want to change the time of the Traditional Service...our Contemporary Service used to be Sunday evenings but we weren't getting attendence...now that we moved it we went from about 15 people in the evenings to about 45-60 in the mornings at the contemporary service.
