I hope that's the case cause I'd hate for there to be more from the 13 I have sold so far!:grumpy:bsaxman said:Round Stone w/ Handles - Cracking
Yeah, I started a thread about this a while back. I think maybe there was just a bad batch of them! I haven't had any complaints within the month...
I'm glad HO is doing some research on this problem!pc_cindy said:I've had to have a number of the stones with handles replaced. I recently had a guest call me after her second one broke (she replaced it with a small saute pan). When I visited with the customer service rep at PC, she indicated that they had been replacing a number of these stones (more than others) and were looking into what might be causing it.
If your Pampered Chef stone with handles breaks, you should first check if it is still under warranty. Pampered Chef offers a lifetime warranty on their stoneware products, so you may be eligible for a replacement. Contact Pampered Chef customer service with your purchase details for assistance.
To prevent your stone from breaking, avoid sudden temperature changes. Always preheat your oven before placing the stone inside, and do not place a cold stone directly into a hot oven. Additionally, avoid using metal utensils on the stone to prevent chipping.
It is not recommended to use a broken stone, as it can pose a safety hazard and may lead to further breakage. If the stone is cracked or has sharp edges, it's best to discontinue use and seek a replacement through Pampered Chef's warranty program.
Signs of damage include visible cracks, chips, or breaks in the stone. Additionally, if the stone has developed a warped shape or if there are any loose handles, it is advisable to stop using it and consider a replacement.
