How Do You Charge the Host for All Orders?

In summary, to charge the host's credit card for orders, mark all guests as not yet paid and put the total owed on the host payment screen. This allows for only one charge on the host's card and ensures that she receives a record of what each person owes. This method is especially useful for hosts who live far away, as it eliminates the need for the consultant to pick up checks or cash. While there may have been a previous rule limiting the number of orders that could be put on one card, it seems that this is no longer the case. It is important to be careful when entering the same card on multiple orders, as this can be flagged as potential fraud. However, using the same card for the entire show is similar

Can someone please tell me how I go about charging the host's cc for orders? Do I mark the guests of not yet paid and just change the amount on the host's total to even that all out???

Thanks
Karen

Yes. Leave everyone as not paid and put the total that is still owed on the host payment screen. That way she gets just one charge on her card. Make sure she gets something showing what each person owes her.

Thank you!

It took me FOREVER to figure that out...I was entering her card info on each payment needed. I'm a dork...

When I have tried to do this I was not allowed. I was told you could only do up to 2 orders on the same card and that the host could not pay for the whole show on a card. (this came from the home office) Has this changed?

I've done this several times and never had a problem. Its the only way it works if you have a host who lives far away (why drive an hour or more just to exchange checks). I just closed a show tonight for my SIL's sister who lives an hour away. She got checks from everyone, deposited them into her account and put the whole show, except my SIL's order on her debit card.

wow, I will keep that in mind

I have always been told that you can't put the whole show on 1 card...this would be great for me because I frequently have to drive over an hour to pick up checks/cash, etc.

I believe this was the rule at one time. I remember my director telling me this when I started. There was a 2 order rule - you could accept the same card from someone to help a friend but not for the whole show. But then I wonder if it was just a miscommunication.

If we put the same card ON more than 3 orders (enter the number on each order's payment screen) it will or at least can be rejected by the CC company as they watch multiple charges to detect fraud. I have been doing the whole show on one CC (or large parts of the show) on a lot of parties and have never had a problem - just change the amount pd on the host (or whoever the payer is) payment screen. It's the same as accepting one check from the host for the show except that it's safer - you know immediately if it's good or not.

I often have the guests all write their checks to the host and she either pays me with one check or her cc. I put the total charge amount as a payment under payment screen.

What is the host credit program?

The host credit program is a rewards program for Pampered Chef hosts. It allows hosts to earn credit towards free or discounted products based on the total sales from their party.

How do I calculate the host credit for all orders?

The amount of host credit earned is based on a percentage of the total sales from the party. The percentage varies depending on the total sales and can be found in the host's rewards chart. You can also use our online host credit calculator for an accurate estimate.

Do I need to charge the host for all orders?

No, the host does not need to pay for all orders. The host will only need to pay for any products they personally purchase, any additional orders they add to the party, and any shipping and handling fees.

When do I charge the host for all orders?

The host should be charged for all orders at the time of the party. This can be done through our online ordering system or by collecting cash or checks from the host and placing the order on their behalf.

What if the host does not have enough credit to cover all their orders?

If the host does not have enough credit to cover all their orders, they can either pay the remaining balance with cash, check, or credit card, or they can choose to only redeem a portion of their host credit and pay the rest. Our consultant support team can assist with any questions or concerns regarding host credit and payment options.
