Ah but then you are using the old stone without handles and those just seem to be much better. I still have the very round stone that first introduced me to The Pampered Chef. It is now 11 years old, deep brown as can be and has never given me grief. My new round with handles, I have replaced 6 times since we first got them! I rarely use it for parties and I never use it at home for fear of having to replace yet another one! And I love that idea with the delivered pizza!
