Choc Mint Silk Torte Alternative

Hi,
Has anybody done this torte without peppermint? I'm not big on the mint....

Any suggestions for a substitution?

What about white chocolate... maybe use almond extract instead of the peppermint extract and then use white baking chocolate instead of the Ande's mints candies.

Or if you like raspberries - pull some of the directions for the raspberry cookie trifle and put in this torte.

If for nothing else, check out the pudding section of your grocery store to get ideas of flavors that work well with chocolate ~ butterscotch, pistachio, vanilla, banana ~ and start experimenting!

Hi there,Yes, I have actually made this torte without peppermint before and it turned out great! Instead of using peppermint extract, I used almond extract for a subtle almond flavor. You could also try using orange or lemon extract for a citrus twist. Hope that helps! Let me know how it turns out if you end up trying it. Happy baking!
