Di_Can_Cook said:Becky, that is incredible!
I would LOVE to do something like this, but am not sure I have the chops, the facilities or the contacts to pull this off.
I am thinking that if I had a somewhat public place to do this, like a church, I might draw more people in. Did you do this in your home, or a larger venue?
My kitchen is not small, but it lacks an island and I can't see getting 15 women in there ... and I can't see making it work with less! And my church does not have a kitchen.
What am I saying .... I can't even get 5 people to show up for a show I sponsor.
rennea said:Oh Becky I'm sooo happy it turned out great for you. How exciting to hear about it. First thing on my mined when I woke up this morning
chefmeg said:Love it....I don't know how you did this invite, so please share how I can do this myself!!!
pamperedlinda said:Chicken recipes please....
lacychef said:Those are great postcards Becky! Were those "free"? I've never played around with their site much, but would like to.
And your show keeps getting better:thumbup:
pamperedlinda said:Those look great Becky. I get so frusterated with Vista that I usually just leave. It seems to take so long to go through everything and design what I want and then I can never figure out how to get all the free stuff that they advertise in the email (it's different from the regular free stuff on-line). I just haven't had the time to spend navigating around their site. What's the secret? I've ordered biz cards form them a few times and I need to order more, but geeze I am dreading it. I love your stuff, and Ann's, and I think it was also Paulette who posted hers.
pamperedlinda said:When you do it that way does it put everything in your shopping basket and then you do it as one order? Or are you actually making several seperate orders?
chefmeg said:Becky, I have scheduled my Power Cooking Clinic for the 12th~I sent out an email invite 1st and have already had 2 people say YES! I plan to work on the postcard invites on Sunday, mail on Monday and cook my little heart out to prepare myself for doing the actual clinic on Tuesday!
Thanks so much for all of your help and support...can't wait until you come to play over on Director Chef Success!
ChefBeckyD said:YEA Meg! I'm so glad I could help. I did the email invite first, and then followed up with the postcard also.
But, I didn't do any cooking before the show - are you doing it just to practice the recipes???
And I am looking forward to Director Chef Success!!!
chefann said:First, don't call it an open house. And second, make a phone call to everyone to invite them, even if you've already sent a postcard or email.
chefmeg said:lordy, lordy! I have cooked 2 whole chickens in the roaster today AND cooked chicken tenderloins in the skillet USING THE MIX 'N CHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
amazing!
now I am planning to make and freeze the Power Cooking recipes as well as the chicken recipes I posted above! I can't wait until my clinic next week! Now I just have to wait for those #$%^ postcard invites to show up!
Chef Kearns said:Becky - what were your surprises throughout the day and your great giveaways? I used your wording for my invitations and kinda would like to know what you did.
So far I only have 4 people confirmed, but I'm mailing out invitations this weekend and will begin making calls late next week to hopefully get that number closer to 10 or 15. I hope it won't be that hard since I have over 120 on my evite list.
Chef Kearns said:So, did you just have random drawings throughout? Sorry, but I need specifics. Yours was so successful I want the same kind of results.
Chef Kearns said:Thanks for breaking it down for me Becky!
About 80 people have been invited to the Power Cooking Clinic, including past hosts, friends, and preferred customers.
The invitations were sent via email through the Pampered Chef website. The host also followed up with invitations made on VistaPrint.
As of now, 15 people have RSVP'd for the event.
Yes, some reminder calls have been made, but not to everyone on the guest list.
If someone is unable to attend or bringing extra guests, it's important to reach out to them and confirm their RSVP. It may also be helpful to send a final reminder to all guests to confirm their attendance. Additionally, the host could prepare for potential last-minute changes by having extra supplies or food on hand.
