The Garlic Press: Materials & Coating Explained

In summary, Pampered Chef garlic presses are mainly made with high-quality stainless steel, but may also have plastic or silicone components. They are all dishwasher safe, but hand washing is recommended for best results. Some models have a non-stick coating made from food-grade silicone, and all presses are BPA-free. While the press is designed for garlic, it can also be used for other soft foods, but not recommended for hard items.

I looked in the product guide and did not see it. Sometimes my bifocals don't work :blushing:! Thank you.

1. What materials are used to make the garlic press?

The majority of Pampered Chef garlic presses are made with high-quality stainless steel. Some models may also have plastic or silicone components for added durability and functionality.

2. Is the garlic press dishwasher safe?

Yes, all of our garlic presses are dishwasher safe. However, for best results, we recommend hand washing with warm soapy water and drying immediately to prevent rusting.

3. Does the garlic press have a non-stick coating?

Some of our garlic presses do have a non-stick coating, typically made from a food-grade silicone material. This coating helps prevent garlic from sticking to the press, making clean-up easier.

4. Is the garlic press BPA-free?

Yes, all of our garlic presses are BPA-free. We use only food-safe materials in the production of our products.

5. Can the garlic press crush other items besides garlic?

While the garlic press is specifically designed for crushing garlic, it can also be used for other soft foods such as ginger, olives, or even small nuts. However, we do not recommend using it for hard items such as peppercorns or whole cloves of garlic, as it may damage the press.
