Hey!

I just bought a new deep dish baker because my old one cracked along the botton/side. It didn't break, because the sides held it together, but it cracked all the way through....

Well, I used my new one for the first time today, and when washing it today, I noticed it too had cracked in the same way in the same place.

What gives? Anyone else have this problem? I know it's under warranty and I can return it, but what a pain....

I just received one and it has the slightest crack in it. I got it replaced and the new one looks ok!!

Thanks for your help! It's possible that the deep dish baker you purchased is made with a weaker material or has a manufacturing defect. It's also possible that you are using it at a higher temperature than it can handle, causing it to crack. I would recommend contacting the manufacturer and seeing if they have had any similar complaints or if they can offer a replacement or refund. It's always a good idea to use caution when using any type of bakeware and to follow the recommended guidelines for temperature and usage.

Frequently Asked Questions

What causes Pampered Chef stoneware to crack?

Pampered Chef stoneware can crack due to thermal shock, which occurs when the stoneware is subjected to sudden temperature changes. For example, placing a hot stone directly on a cold surface or adding cold ingredients to a hot pan can lead to cracking. It's important to gradually heat and cool the stoneware to prevent this issue.

Is it common for Pampered Chef stoneware to crack?

While Pampered Chef stoneware is designed to be durable, cracking can happen, especially if proper care instructions are not followed. Many users have experienced cracks, but it is not considered a widespread issue if the stoneware is used correctly.

Can I still use my cracked Pampered Chef stoneware?

It is generally not recommended to use cracked stoneware, as the cracks can worsen over time and potentially lead to breakage. If the crack is minor and does not affect the cooking surface, some users choose to continue using it, but caution is advised.

How can I prevent my Pampered Chef stoneware from cracking?

To prevent cracking, always preheat your oven with the stoneware inside, avoid sudden temperature changes, and do not place hot stoneware on cold surfaces. Additionally, avoid using metal utensils that can scratch the surface, as this may weaken the stoneware.

What should I do if my Pampered Chef stoneware cracks?

If your stoneware cracks, you can contact Pampered Chef customer service for guidance. They may offer replacement options depending on the severity of the crack and the warranty status of your product. Always keep your receipt and any warranty information handy for reference.
