Chefbeckyd said:Well, actually - I just start telling my hosts in Oct & November that January is the very best month to host a show. I paint a picture that everyone here in MI recognizes. It's frigid cold, and it's snowing. Christmas is over, most of the local sports are winding down, and people are feeling the cabin fever in a big way, and looking for ANY Excuse to get out of the house and spend time with friends! A Pampered Chef Party is a great way to do that! We'll have some great comfort food, some great drinks, and everyone will have a chance to hang out and visit! (plus, in the past it's been 50% more in free product, which has helped...don't know about that yet for this year.)
Then, for my part, I ALWAYS use the January Host Letters. LOVE Those! It makes it simple for me to keep in touch with my January Hosts in the middle of the busy Christmas Season, and it keeps their show at the front of their brain during that time too. In the past three years, I have had only TWO January cancellations. I usually have 8-10 shows, and my sales are around $6000 each January (and that's a huge month for me!).
Some effective themes for January and February shows include "New Year, New Recipes," focusing on healthy eating and meal prep, and "Valentine's Day Treats," where guests can learn to make romantic dishes or desserts. Additionally, consider a "Winter Comfort Foods" theme to showcase hearty meals that warm up the cold months.
Encouraging bookings can be achieved by offering exclusive incentives for guests who book a show during your event. Consider providing a discount on their next purchase, a free product, or a special gift for hosting. Highlight the benefits of hosting, such as earning free products and having a fun gathering with friends.
Focus on recipes that are quick, easy, and perfect for winter gatherings. Consider demonstrating hearty soups, slow cooker meals, or healthy snacks that align with New Year's resolutions. For February, include recipes for romantic dinners or fun appetizers for Super Bowl parties.
Utilize social media by creating event pages, sharing sneak peeks of recipes, and posting engaging content related to your themes. Use platforms like Facebook and Instagram to showcase your cooking demos, share testimonials from past hosts, and encourage guests to RSVP or book their own shows through interactive posts and stories.
After the show, send personalized thank-you messages to all attendees, expressing your appreciation for their participation. Include a recap of the recipes demonstrated and a reminder of any special offers for bookings. Additionally, follow up with those who showed interest in products or hosting to answer any questions and encourage them to take the next step.
