If a host of a September fundraiser purchases a set of cookware at 60% off, will the organization get 15% of the amount she paid? Thanks.

Yes. She is the organizer and her order does count for the fundraiser but the 60% off item is not commissionable.

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of discounts are typically offered at fundraisers?

At fundraisers, discounts can vary widely, but common types include percentage-off discounts, buy-one-get-one-free offers, and tiered discounts based on purchase amounts. For example, a fundraiser might offer 10% off for purchases over $50 or a special price on bundled products.

How can I find out about upcoming fundraisers with discounts?

You can stay informed about upcoming fundraisers by following local community boards, social media pages of organizations, or subscribing to newsletters from groups that frequently host fundraisers. Additionally, many direct sales companies, like Pampered Chef, often promote their fundraising events through their consultants.

Are the discounts at fundraisers worth it compared to regular prices?

Discounts at fundraisers can be quite beneficial, often providing savings that are not available through regular retail prices. However, it's important to compare the discounted price to regular prices and consider the quality of the products being offered. Many times, the funds raised also support a good cause, adding value to your purchase.

Can I combine discounts with other promotions during a fundraiser?

Typically, discounts offered during fundraisers cannot be combined with other promotions or coupons. However, it's always best to check the specific terms and conditions of the fundraiser, as some may allow for stacking discounts under certain circumstances.

How do fundraisers benefit from offering discounts?

Fundraisers benefit from offering discounts by attracting more customers who are motivated by the savings. This increased volume of sales can lead to higher overall profits for the organization. Additionally, offering discounts can enhance customer loyalty and encourage repeat purchases, which is beneficial for both the fundraiser and the direct sales consultant involved.
