Nothing today. Took the kids to the Children's Discovery Museum intead. I will see what I can do as far as contacts go for the rest of today.

another stellar day in my world! My lead from a show this week will be signing by mid-month and a HO lead that wants to sign in September! The lead signing this month is doing a catalog show in order to either use it as her first show or to get kit credit!

No leads from the car wash today.........I AM TIRED!

Allison - where in WI are you going?

Janet - It is at the Lakewoods resort in Cable... is that anywhere close to you?

p.s. no contacts today, however I did laminate all of my theme show step-by-step cards at Office Max for $4.50! We get laminating at $1.50/foot and normally it is $4.50 a foot! Even the teachers discount that they have right now is only half off - gotta love PC!

Fun today. I went to a bunch of rummage sales, then attended The Furry Guy's Company picnic. About a dozen contacts (probably more, but I'll count it as 12), a few show nibbles, and an order. :)

I never go to Rummage Sales because they usually occur when I am working, etc., but I stopped by one on the way home from having my ankle checked.

Don't know who on here will actually understand and appreciate my find, but I spent $2.00 at one today. I got 1/2 a paper box full of Singspiration Chorus books and the Youth Favorites books and more! They were published in the 40s and my parents and myself grew up singing out of those. I'm so excited to be able to teach Sammie all the old choruses. :D

DH just didn't understand but smiled...

OH!!!! I understand! (LOL!:D )

When I was little, by brothers and I would take turns going to Grandma's for naptime (She lived a block from us). She would rock us to sleep singing songs form the Singspiration & Youth Favorite books! I remember bits and pieces of so many of the songs, and am always humming and singing the parts I know to Micah when I rock him at night (yep - we still rock at night!) Sometimes I even email my big brother with bits of song lyrics and ask him if he knows the rest....!:D

I'm JEALOUS!

Well, now you can e-mail me! ;)

I just got the final orders for my last July show...$700! Yeah! I'm submitting it tonight or tomorrow.
Doesn't count for August incentives, but a great start for commission!!!!

If making incredible food for a gathering with friends were to count as making contacts I made sooo many today. I made a great layered salad in the Trifle Bowl and I made the Peanut Butter Cup Torte. Everyone was going crazy over both dishes and wanted the recipes. Now tomorrow, I'll reel them all in. It's a weekend campout, but I come home in the evenings to sleep. There are 8 families all together.

Post the recipes on your website and hand them a card to say they are there.

YEA JAE! Make sure they know the PB Torte is part of a theme show for PC!

I picked up my stuff this morning - but you could probably tell that already! Micah was with me, and he was so cute - "Mommy - is this where Miss Jill lives? Do you think her boys play soccer here?" Don't know where the soccer question came from.

I did a mini 24 shows in 24 hours booking blitz today. I called approx. 12 people and left messages, spoke to 3 contacts, 1 was at the hospital in preterm labor, so I will follow up with her in late October, and I got an August 30th booking and a mid September booking from the other 2. I will do this again Monday night to see if I get any results. (So far I had no call backs with the messages I left, and did not have time to make any more calls).

I think Micah and I had a conversation while you were talking with your brother and mom, or maybe it was at the Farmer's Market. You must not have heard us. I do remember mentioning to Micah that younger ds plays soccer.

WTG on those calls Bren! I didn't make any contacts today (again). I need to get off my tush and do them. This is one of my problems...I start to get lazy when I have a full calendar for the month. But I still need to book one more August show to meet my goal! I DID send off a newsletter though. I will have to make tons of contacts in the next few days.

you can do it Ellen! I am with you... I am full for August and so have been pretty lazy. I need to dig out some of those old contacts and just start calling and checking on things. Not even ask about booking, but about adding them to my newsletter. The worst they can say is no, stop calling and then I can delete their information and be on with it! (Why is it I never feel this way at 7pm on a weekday?!?!)

when I first read that, I thought it said YOU were in preterm labor!!:eek:I was thinking, "I didn't even know she was pregnant"

I did nothing yesterday, except take a 2 hour nap!!:eek:I think the last time I did that was pre-kids!

I am in! Here's how I'm prepping:
- Made a list of cold and lukewarm recruit leads
- Am going to work on my List of 100 and think outside the box
- Am going to take MAC and OB calls seriously

I make MAC calls all the time, but what is an OB call?

out of the box....as in 'have you taken that Food Chopper out of the box?'

Ok ... I've been bad the last few days... It's been a rough few days with my kids. They are going majorly stirr crazy. They wont stop fighting and I do not even want to talk about how DS is doing in the potty dept...

Unfortunately It makes it really hard for me to want to get on the phone. It feels like every time I start to make some headway getting something positive done for my biz. I get pulled back to the "war zone".

I did finally get my NL out. Nothing from it yet... I will be doing some follow up this week.

ROFLOL...here we are talking about preterm labor and OB calls...

I've always seen them as OOB calls, but yes, what Meg said.

I try not to work on Sundays so I'm not planning on any contacts. However I did carry my striped bag to church with all the kids stuff and Bibles, etc. and a lady asked me where I got it. I said, "Free from Pampered Chef." :D Not an official contact but just a reminder to her that PC gives great things...

My kids are suddenly on edge with each other so I DEMANDED afternoon nap time for them!

Janet, I threw mine out into the pool! It is a samll inflatable kind, but I had had ENOUGH! Go fight out there, I say!

There must be something in the air today! Mine are calming down nicely...I'll give them an hour or so of "rest" then let them out. (Unless I check and they are out cold!) ;)

Rachel was a really bad napper~stopped taking full-fledged naps at about 18 moths old....so we had "FOB" time....meaning "feet on bed"! She could play with toys, look at books, but not take her feet off the bed! Ususally, she koncked out if she got still long enough!

Sammie still naps but rarely. I make her lay down and read - similar to your feet on bed. She too drops after awhile when she needs to...

My kids go to bed about 9:30-10 and wake up between 6-6:30 so that is why they still nap.

I don't do calls on Sunday, but I had a contact at church this morning. One of my friends may be interested in a September show. I'll be sending her some info tomorrow. :)

Today I went to pick up some checks that my MIA catty host (remember her?) owed me. While there she told me that there were some items that are still needing to be ordered totaling about $70. She has now decided to try to get a few more to make it to $150 to get those grinders. YAY! (Not a high show, but would reach my August goal)

Then when I got home from couples study, there was an online order for $25. I will take it!

Wow Ellen - I wish one of my MIA catty hosts would just turn in half of all that! She really ended up coming through for you!

I take Sunday as a day off from PC - but did get in a contact - one of my volunteers at church asked if I had any catalogs with me, and is interested in hosting a show....I'll follow up with her today.

This morning I am working on getting info ready for Scrip Night tonight. I'm going to ask my neighbor if it's possible for me to be there instead of just leaving info there. I'd like to personally introduce myself to people and hand them info, and I'd like to have a sign-up sheet there for people......from what she says, other vendors just leave catalogs with info....I want to provide more than that!

nothing for me yesterday.
Today I'm taking the kids to the free movie and tonight I am going shopping for leads. wish me luck! My goal is to approach 20 people!

DH is on vacation this week and we are going out of town on Wed.
I am going to have him referree the boys while I get some calls done today and tomorrow. Keep you fingers crossed.

I am going to do my best to get some contacts in today but my first priority is going to be host coaching. I am slacking in this area right now. I need to implement some things I learned at conference.
