Reaching Out to Maybe Guests: A Postcard Idea

SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the effectiveness of using postcards to reach out to potential guests who indicated interest but did not provide contact information. It emphasizes that while postcards can supplement outreach efforts, they should not replace direct phone calls. Participants suggest that leaving a message with a callback number can encourage responses. I'm thinking about putting together a postcard for those guests that checked maybe on the door prize slip, but I didn't get a chance to talk to them at the show. Anyone have any suggestions or anything like this. I can't seem to reach people when I call and most don't put their e-mail address. Thanks.

Re: postcardsWeigh this one carefully. You have to call to make the contact, even if you spend the money to create and mail the postcard. Customers, for the most part, will not contact you (in response to a phone call or to a mailing).

When you make phone calls (and you don't get an answer), tell them who you are, that you're sorry you missed them and that you will call them back at a later time (this lets them know that one of these times they might as well answer because you are not giving up!) and say "if you'd like to call me back first, my number is 123-4567".

Re: postcardsPostcards are a great idea in addition to the phone calls, but not alone. Good luck!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a "Maybe Guest" in the context of Pampered Chef?

A "Maybe Guest" refers to someone who has expressed interest in attending a Pampered Chef party but hasn't committed to attending yet. They may have shown enthusiasm but need a little more encouragement or information before making a decision.

How can a postcard help in reaching out to Maybe Guests?

A postcard serves as a tangible reminder of the event and can make the invitation feel more personal. It can include details about the party, a warm message, and even a special incentive to encourage them to attend, making it a great tool for re-engagement.

What should I include on the postcard for Maybe Guests?

Include the date, time, and location of the party, a brief description of what they can expect (like cooking demonstrations or product showcases), and a personal note inviting them to join. You might also add a special offer or incentive, such as a discount on their first purchase or a small gift for attending.

How can I personalize the postcard for each Maybe Guest?

Personalization can be achieved by addressing the postcard directly to the guest and including a handwritten note that references a previous conversation or shared interest. This shows that you value them as an individual and are genuinely inviting them to the event.

What is the best time to send out postcards to Maybe Guests?

It’s best to send out postcards about 1-2 weeks before the event. This timing gives them enough notice to clear their schedule while keeping the event fresh in their minds. You can also follow up with a reminder closer to the date through a text or email.
