How many guest packets (catalog/order form/DPDS/pen) do you take with you to a show if you don't know how many guests there will be or if it's only a rough estimate? I've been lugging a pile and let me tell you, they are hefty!! I'm thinking about having some just in my van so if I need more at a show, they are right there. But was wondering what a good basic number would be (I'd always have extra order forms, even if I didn't have enough catalog).

TIA!!

I ALWAYS bring 12.

I always bring 15. I guess I'm optimistic. :)

I usually do about 5 more than the number of people the host is expecting. At least that is what I take inside with me. I usually have more in my car and only get them if lots more people come.

bring 12I bring 12 guest packets on lapboards. Then just some extra catalogs and order forms just in case but no lapboards for those. I also give catalogs away to those who ask.

Debbie :D

I generally add 5 to whatever number the host gives me. I also tell the host to let me know if they get a few more RSVPs so I can throw a few more in my bag. If I have no idea how many guests are expected, I take 15. I generally leave a message for the host letting her/him know that's how many I'll have. I generally have a few extra catalogs in my van. Since I don't hand out the order forms until the end of the party, they aren't really an issue. I just make sure I have oodles of them.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I include in my guest packets for trade shows?

Your guest packets should include a variety of materials that highlight your products and business. Essential items are a catalog, a current promotional flyer, a business card, and a small sample or promotional item. You may also want to include a recipe card featuring a popular product, a contact information sheet, and an invitation to your next cooking show or event.

How can I make my guest packets stand out at trade shows?

To make your guest packets stand out, consider using colorful and eye-catching packaging. Personalize each packet with a handwritten note or a unique touch that reflects your personality. Incorporating a theme related to the trade show or current promotions can also help grab attention. Additionally, using high-quality materials will enhance the perceived value of your packets.

How many guest packets should I prepare for a trade show?

The number of guest packets you should prepare depends on the expected attendance at the trade show. A good rule of thumb is to prepare enough packets for at least 50-100 potential guests, depending on the size of the event. It's always better to have a few extra packets than to run out, as you may encounter more interested guests than anticipated.

What is the best way to distribute guest packets at a trade show?

Distributing guest packets can be done effectively by placing them at your booth for visitors to pick up or by personally handing them out during conversations. Engaging with attendees and discussing your products while giving them a packet can create a more personal connection. Consider using a sign-up sheet to collect contact information, which can also help you gauge interest.

How can I follow up with guests after the trade show using the information from guest packets?

After the trade show, use the contact information collected from your guest packets to follow up with personalized emails or messages. Thank them for visiting your booth and express your hope to connect further. You can also share additional information about products they showed interest in, upcoming events, or exclusive offers to encourage them to engage with your business.
