SUMMARY

When making a micro cake in a stoneware bundt pan, only the cake mix, three eggs, and sour cream or fruit filling are required. Water and oil, typically listed on the package, are unnecessary as the sour cream and fruit filling provide sufficient moisture. Users recommend using a Small Mix 'N Scraper to effectively mix the batter, especially if it becomes difficult to whisk. This method is particularly effective for variations like the turtle fudge skillet cake prepared in the microwave.

i've been reading through all the yummy sounding recipes and i have a question - do you only add the cake mix, 3 eggs and sour cream / fruit filling when making the micro cake in the stoneware bundt pan? i wasn't sure if you were supposed to add the water and oil as it states on the package.
thanks!!
i am planning on making a take off on the turtle fudge skillet cake - but in the micro wave instead! mixing the cake mix, sour cream and eggs then putting the caramel drizzle on top when it's done.

All you add is the sour cream and eggs. Just a warning though, sometimes I have a probelm getting a whisk through the batter, so I use my Small Mix 'N Scraper instead.

Hey there! From my understanding, you only need to add the cake mix, eggs, and sour cream/fruit filling when making the micro cake in the stoneware bundt pan. You don't need to add the water and oil as stated on the package because the sour cream and fruit filling provide enough moisture. Your take on the turtle fudge skillet cake sounds delicious! Let us know how it turns out in the microwave. Happy baking!

Frequently Asked Questions

What ingredients do I need to make a micro cake in a stoneware bundt pan?

To make a micro cake in a stoneware bundt pan, you will typically need basic ingredients such as flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, eggs, milk, and oil. You can also add flavorings like vanilla extract or cocoa powder, depending on the type of cake you want to make.

How long does it take to bake a micro cake in a stoneware bundt pan?

Baking a micro cake in a stoneware bundt pan usually takes about 10 to 15 minutes in the microwave. However, cooking times may vary based on your microwave's wattage, so it's important to check for doneness by inserting a toothpick into the center of the cake; it should come out clean when the cake is done.

Can I use a regular cake recipe for the micro cake in a stoneware bundt pan?

Yes, you can use a regular cake recipe, but you may need to adjust the quantities to fit the smaller size of the bundt pan. It's best to reduce the ingredient amounts by half or to use a recipe specifically designed for microwave baking to ensure the best results.

Do I need to grease the stoneware bundt pan before baking?

Yes, it is recommended to lightly grease the stoneware bundt pan with cooking spray or a small amount of oil to prevent the cake from sticking. This will help ensure that your micro cake releases easily once it’s baked.

Can I add toppings or frosting to my micro cake after baking?

Absolutely! Once your micro cake has cooled slightly, you can add toppings such as whipped cream, fresh fruit, or a drizzle of icing. This can enhance the flavor and presentation of your cake, making it even more enjoyable.
