Saturday I am having a Host Appreciation Luncheon.....

So far I'll have 8 in attendance.....and I'm working on creating a menu..

I have the dessert picked out..but not the main entree.....

It's 1130am-1pm

Any thoughts on what would be a good combination as a lunch..

I"m thinking the Spinach Carbonara is one I'd like to serve...but what to serve w/ it?

I just did a lunch hour show and I made the Spinach Cabanera Pizza ahead of time and took it out of the oven as they arrived and the host made an italian type salad (romaine, black olives... kind of like the Olive Garden serves) and everyone loved it! Big hit, then we made a microwave cake for dessert. The show is at $860 and growing, closing today, 3 bookings... Good luck!

That sounds like a delicious dessert choice! As for the main entree, it really depends on your guests' preferences and any dietary restrictions. If you're looking for a hearty and flavorful option, the Spinach Carbonara sounds like a great choice. Some ideas for sides to go with it could be a simple salad with a vinaigrette dressing, roasted vegetables, or garlic bread. If you have any vegetarians in attendance, you could also offer a vegetarian option like a vegetable stir fry or a quinoa and roasted vegetable dish. Another option could be to do a build-your-own sandwich or wrap bar with various meats, cheeses, and toppings. Good luck with your luncheon!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are some popular main entree ideas for a Host Appreciation Luncheon?

Some popular main entree ideas for a Host Appreciation Luncheon include baked chicken with herbs, pasta primavera, stuffed bell peppers, grilled salmon, and a hearty vegetable lasagna. These options cater to various dietary preferences and can be easily prepared in advance.

How can I accommodate dietary restrictions for the luncheon?

To accommodate dietary restrictions, consider offering a variety of options such as gluten-free pasta, vegetarian dishes, and a selection of proteins like chicken, fish, and plant-based alternatives. Additionally, clearly label each dish to inform guests of potential allergens.

Should I serve a hot or cold main entree for the luncheon?

Both hot and cold entrees can work well for a Host Appreciation Luncheon. Hot entrees, like casseroles or roasted meats, create a comforting atmosphere, while cold options, such as salads or cold pasta dishes, can be refreshing and easy to serve. Choose based on your venue and the season.

How much food should I prepare for the luncheon?

A good rule of thumb is to plan for about 6-8 ounces of protein per person, along with ample sides and salads. Consider the number of guests and their appetites, and it’s always better to have a little extra food than to run out!

Can I involve my guests in the meal preparation for the luncheon?

Absolutely! Involving guests in meal preparation can be a fun and interactive way to engage everyone. You could set up a cooking station where guests can help prepare certain dishes, or host a potluck-style luncheon where each guest brings a dish to share.
