Something weird is going on. I think they want more control of the communications that are sent out by us and make them uniform - hence all of the things we can send out via our pws with customer connection. I personally do not use customer connection. Mine is a mess and full of addresses that need to be cleaned out and duplicates that need to be merged - I don't have time nor the inclination to do so. I also don't care for the limited emails that we can send from there. I hope this is a fleeting fantsy that they have and that Joy's business will be back to normal really soon.

There seems more things that go wrong with the shipping of products, etc. And now this. Joy you are only trying to help us do our jobs better. If they force you to quit then this isn't the company I want to represent. I also don't agree with having to submit an order each month if this is supposed to be our business, then we should do the business as we want. Some people don't have the courage to ask for parties each mo (me for one). So I am also supporting Joy 100%.

Harmony3 - don't give up on PC. I am also new - 4 mos - and this is an awesome company to work with. While I just submitted a post venting my frustrations - I think many people would back me up on this one.In my humble opinion, every company has its growing pains and I think this is one of them. There a lot of positive changes going on right now that is causing a rippled hiccup throughout the whole company. Shipping, etc.I, for one, am waiting to see what the waters look like when they are calm. I just don't want you to make any rash decisions in the heat of emotion that might be regretted. I think you'll be pleasantly surprised in the end.harmony3 said:I'm new with pc (4mos ) and after reading this about Joy not being able to do her newsletter for us all, it makes me wonder if this company is one that I want to work with. rennea said:Joy, when the lady on the phone told you that you should be more focused on your business did you tell her that this is your business? I think that was a very RUDE comment to make.
rennea said:I believe that PC has a copyright on all their photo's so anybody using them would be breaking copyright laws. I could be wrong but it makes sense to me that they would be. But that would mean that even flyers made here w/photos would be wrong right?
PampChefJoy said:By the way, she said flyers on Chef Success are okay because it's consultant-only... but TTConnect for sure is consultant only too. Hmmm.... I wonder if I go to paid message board format, if that would fix it.... it would still be downloadable but you'd have to be a paid member to get access...

That is correct - any flyers made with PC photos are breaking policy. The only thing we are allowed to download and use on flyers is the logo.SeeMe4PC said:That is my understanding, too, which is why this is so confusing.

Consultants and Above
The “©” symbol indicates copyrighted materials. Other than
in communications with Show hosts or guests, the catalog,
postcard invitations, newsletters, recipes, etc., or anything
bearing the “©” symbol should not be reproduced in whole
or in part.
So if I am providing a communication to a customer or host I can use copyrighted material. Yes?
prepchef said:Joy, I would think that since you cleaned up the links to your PWS from TT site. You are now in accordance with the Policies and Procedures.
If TTConnect is truly a consultant only site, then there should be no violation.
Shove the Copyrighted Section up their @sses! We are all communicating with Hosts and Guests! Duh!
PampChefJoy said:I understand copyright. I am a professional photographer - I totally respect copyright. But I wasn't trying to sell images. I was using images that consultants already had access to *and are approved to use* in a newsletter.
What can I charge for so that I am not giving my labor away? "Server and storage and bandwidth" fees? If I could afford to give it away for free, I would, but truth of the matter is that I have 1) taught myself alot of editing skill to be able to produce what I do, 2) spent alot of time away from my family to do so (just like a real job), and 3) taken the time to develop a list of things to make it more worthwhile for consultants to join (the new Valentine's and Birthday card emails, for example...).
And, (spoken through gritted teeth), I am not the only one making money doing this, NOR was I the first one to do so... {read: BITTER!}

PampChefJoy said:No, thank you -- I didn't mean to get defensive... actually I would love more dissenting opinions... it would help me to understand why and where HO is coming from... and it's easy enough to see there is support for what I do... but what I fear are the lurkers who aren't saying anything -- the ones who have a problem with what I do. Now, I guess it's expecting too much for them to actually admit to this group that they are opposed....
An internet violation notice is a message from your website hosting company alerting you that your site has been flagged for violating their terms of service. This can happen for a variety of reasons, such as linking to malicious websites, posting inappropriate content, or using too much bandwidth.
The standard verbiage in the notice typically includes a warning about not linking, posting, or using any content that violates the hosting company's terms of service. It is a general statement to inform you that your site has been found to have violated their policies.
The best way to find out the exact violation is to contact the hosting company directly. They should be able to provide you with more specific information about what content or actions on your site led to the violation notice.
First, you should carefully review the notice and any related terms of service from your hosting company. Then, address the issue by either removing the violating content or taking necessary steps to fix the problem. Finally, respond to the hosting company and let them know what actions you have taken to resolve the violation.
It is possible that your consultant email is linked to your website in some way, such as on a flyer or business card. Make sure to review all of your online presence and update any contact information to avoid future confusion or issues with your website.
