Does HO base the payment to the charity on the guest or comissionable sales amount? Obviously, the only difference is the host order for the host special...but just curious.

I have a group aiming for $600 for the 15% and I want to tell them when they've crossed the mark!

Oh, and do they mail it to the chairperson?

The guest sales are what the organization gets their % from. The organizer can get a monthly host special but it isn't commissionable. All other purchases by her/him are considered guest sales in a fundraiser anyway. The monthly special is the only "benefit" the organizer gets.

Well I entered the host special last night and it bumped the guest sales amount up...weird!

Of course I had to add it like a guest though. It wouldn't allow me to add a host order...

To top it off, I am the chairperson, b/c the rest of my committee wanted me to be in charge of it. Which is fine, then the items and check come to me and I make sure it's taken care of properly. But a little confusing! I thought it was strange I had to add myself as a guest to order that special.

Oh, how long does it take to get the check from PC?

Yes, even if the consultant is the organizer you have to enter the name and mark the box indicating that this is the organizer to get the monthly special. No one is the host on a fundraiser. That's why it wouldn't let you enter a host screen.

Thanks Beth. That makes sense. I'm guessing that's why it added the $$ to guest sales and not to comissionable too. I know we don't make commission on host specials or our own orders, but I thought it was nice that they are still giving the NP the credit for my order of that one item as chair!
 
I need an order form for a fundraiser. I was hoping someone created an awesome November OOF, and I would just edit it with my info.
