I have 4 catalog shows going on right now. I gave/mailed all the hosts packets around the June 4th. So I have been calling to host coach each of the hosts. I have one host who hasn't even opened the packet and one who has not even started to get orders. They are all closing around the 15th. My other 2 hosts are close to the $500 mark so no worries there. But what do I do about the 2 that are lagging behind. I have a feeling that I will be chasing them down to get orders. I don't know if I should let them continue the catty show for another week or just stress that they need to be in by the 15th no matter what? These are my first catty shows so any advice will be beneficial.

I would probably give them another week and see if they get anything, but stress that they have to be turned in on that day specified. Some people can be frustrating to do catalog shows. i have done several but haven't had a problem usually. Good Luck!

Catty shows have a way of remaining open forever if you let them. Tell the hosts that you have an incentive you're working towards and you really need them to close out by xxx date. You can usually come up with some sort of event to give them some urgency.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Catty Show and how does it work?

A Catty Show, or catalog show, is a type of direct sales event where hosts gather orders from friends and family using a catalog rather than hosting a traditional in-home party. The host shares the catalog, collects orders, and submits them to the consultant, who then delivers the products. This format is great for those who may not be able to host a physical gathering.

How can I motivate a lagging host to engage more with their Catty Show?

To motivate a lagging host, consider reaching out with personalized encouragement. Share tips on how to promote the show, such as creating a social media post or sending a group message to friends. Offering incentives, like a small gift for every order placed, can also boost excitement and engagement.

What are some effective strategies to increase sales during a Catty Show?

Effective strategies include providing the host with promotional materials, such as sample posts for social media or email templates to reach out to potential customers. Additionally, consider hosting a virtual gathering where you can showcase products and answer questions, creating a sense of urgency and excitement around the show.

How can I handle a host who is unresponsive or not following through?

If a host is unresponsive, it’s important to communicate openly and kindly. Reach out to them to check in and see if they need assistance or support. Sometimes, a simple reminder of the benefits they can receive from hosting, such as free products or discounts, can reignite their enthusiasm.

What should I do if the Catty Show is not generating enough interest?

If a Catty Show is not generating interest, consider re-evaluating the host’s network and outreach methods. Encourage the host to reach out to a wider audience or to offer a special promotion, such as a limited-time discount on certain products. Additionally, you might suggest extending the show duration to allow more time for orders to come in.
