Can I Increase Hostess Benefits with Additional Guest Sales and FPV?

Click For Summary
SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the strategy of increasing hostess benefits through additional guest sales and FPV (Free Product Value) in a direct sales context. A specific scenario is presented where a host can purchase a bread knife for $26 in the name of the party host, effectively raising the total show sales to $700. This increase qualifies the host for an additional $25 in FPV and a half-price item, thereby enhancing the overall benefits for the bride's bridal shower. Participants confirm that this approach is valid as long as the previous host does not desire the knives.

Alright, help me as I think outloud here.

Would this work?

I have a show that is at $675. The host she booked off of elected not to purchase the host special knives. COULD the host purchase in the PH's name the bread knife for $26, and bump her show up to $700 for the additional $25 in FPV and the extra half price item? I realize that I don't get commision on that amount, but I think that it goes towards guest sales which determines the hostess benefits. Right? :D

That is correct...there is no reason why she can not do that. As long as the past host truely does not want them then she can purchase them and they will got towards her total show sales.

That's what I thought. This is a bridal shower, and I really want to give the bride as much FPV as I can. (and after my sample and supply orders this month, I certainly can't spend the $25 to bump her up!)

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I increase my hostess benefits if additional guests make purchases?

Yes, when additional guests make purchases during a party, the total sales increase, which can enhance the hostess benefits. The more sales generated, the more rewards the hostess can earn, including discounts and free products.

What is FPV and how does it relate to hostess benefits?

FPV stands for Free Product Value. It is the total value of free products a hostess can earn based on the party's sales. Higher sales lead to a higher FPV, allowing the hostess to choose more products for free.

Are there any limits to how much I can increase hostess benefits through guest sales?

While there is no specific limit to how much hostess benefits can increase with additional guest sales, the rewards are tiered based on total sales. Each tier offers different benefits, so the more sales, the better the rewards, up to the maximum allowed for that party.

How can I encourage more guest sales to maximize hostess benefits?

To encourage more guest sales, consider offering incentives for guests, such as a raffle for a free product or a discount on their next purchase. Additionally, promoting the benefits of the products and showcasing how they can enhance the guests' cooking experiences can motivate them to buy.

Will my hostess benefits increase if guests order after the party?

Typically, orders placed after the party may not count towards the hostess benefits unless they are part of a specific promotion or if the consultant allows it. It's best to check with your consultant for the specific policies regarding post-party orders and their impact on hostess rewards.
