pamperedchef02 said:Tonight I am making a whole chicken! I am planning to use my Deep baker for the first time!!!
Here is my question - I need to know how to cook it in the oven not the microwave with the Deep Baker.
It only gives directions for the Microwave and I am less than 3 hours away from dinner time!!
I will also be making mashed potatoes, bisquits, cranberry sauce and broccli!
chefann said:It's cold here, too. But DH isn't overly fond of soup or chili for dinner. :grumpy: But we're going to warm up with the Biscuit Frittata from the current SBRC. It'll be good for lunch tomorrow, too.

I think I might make a Chicken Pot Pie in the DCB.....
For a busy weeknight, consider making a stir-fry with your choice of protein and vegetables, or a one-pan pasta dish that cooks everything together. Tacos are also a great option; simply prepare the fillings in advance and let everyone assemble their own. Another quick idea is a sheet pan dinner where you roast chicken and vegetables together for an easy cleanup.
Pampered Chef offers a variety of kitchen tools that can streamline your dinner prep. For example, the Rockcrok can be used on the stovetop or in the oven for versatile cooking options. The Food Chopper makes quick work of chopping vegetables, while the Quick Slice can help you slice meats and cheeses evenly. Using these tools can save time and make cooking more enjoyable.
Healthy dinner options include grilled salmon with quinoa and steamed broccoli, or a hearty salad topped with grilled chicken, nuts, and a light vinaigrette. You can also try making a vegetable stir-fry with tofu or a lentil soup packed with veggies. Using whole grains and lean proteins will help keep your meals nutritious.
Involving your family in dinner preparation can be fun and educational. Assign age-appropriate tasks, such as washing vegetables, measuring ingredients, or stirring pots. You can also have a family cooking night where everyone contributes to the meal. This not only makes dinner prep quicker but also creates lasting memories together.
Budget-friendly dinner ideas include pasta dishes, such as spaghetti with marinara sauce, or rice and beans, which are both filling and inexpensive. You can also make a vegetable soup using leftover produce or a frittata with eggs and whatever veggies you have on hand. Buying in bulk and planning meals around sales can help you save even more.
