janetupnorth said:So, let us know today when you get that call!!!!
ChefBeckyD said:You mean the call about the job?
Read back in the thread....she already got it!
janetupnorth said:I re-read twice and missed it!!!!:blushing:
My fault - I'm a little off today - a little ticked at DH over his handling my lifeguarding recertification. He watched me lecture for my Lifeguard Instructor part but ignored most of my demonstration of my skills. My shoulder was bad the day of testing so I couldn't do the final scenarios but I told him I was capable of 2 of the 3 and to set a date for 2 weeks out for me to do my third. He didn't have me do any and after 3-4 times asking for a specific date to get this done because I am now expired and have only 30 days to complete I need to get it done soon. He still won't give me a date.I also asked him 3 times to give me the paperwork for the course to take in for the other kids and finally got it today! :grumpy: We don't have tension often, but I'm too busy to handle my life and babysit his this week...ChefBeckyD said:Post #15. That's okay Janet, I miss things all the time!

We don't have tension often, but I'm too busy to handle my life and babysit his this week...
ChefBeckyD said:Hmmmm, not good if he's hoping to get lucky!
We had one of those weeks last week. I think guys can be so single minded that they just don't realize those around them have schedules, and issues, etc...too. I don't nag or anything too often - but I had to get tough with him last week!
janetupnorth said:Yeah, I joke about that too, but never tie that to anything else in life. That is one of the sad things I think people are taught to hold sex for what they want. You don't have too...it's pretty obvious regardless when you are ticked!
We have a full week of many activities - tonight I won't get home until about 8-9 p.m. with the kids and my house is a mess and the guards want to come over tomorrow night. I won't get home until about 6:45 and they'll already be there. I'm getting a little nervous that we won't have time to make the house presentable!
UGHHHHH!!!! I couldn't agree more!!! I also am convinced that they have their very own "time of the month!!!" My hubby and I do well together most of the time but certain days we clash so darn bad, I just avoid him! LOL! Better then staying in each others faces and fighting in front of the kids! I spend a lot of time on CS when he's like that! I get my therapy through you all!:thumbup:ChefBeckyD said:Hmmmm, not good if he's hoping to get lucky!

ChefBeckyD said:Yep - DH KNOWS when the air needs to be cleared first!
Busyness was the issue for us last week - the house was a mess, we had people coming over, I had cupcakes & a cake to make & decorate, birthday presents to buy, we had a wedding to go to & a graduation open house, the roof needed to get done on the house before it rained again, I had 2 shows, and everything bubbled over. Actually, my breaking point came when he emptied the dishwasher....and piled everything on the counters, (where there were dirty dishes sitting!) and didn't put anything away. That was "helping".
janetupnorth said:I have to give my kids big hugs though! Sammie cleared the kids table this a.m., helped her brother pick out his clothes for the day and made a list of things that they were going to help me with:
Her list:
1. Cleaning up dishes they use because they made the mess.
2. Put dirty clothes downstairs for the laundry when done.
3. Pick up toys and room.
...and I know she had a few more things...I stopped listening because I had to take care of something else but stopped to thank her for doing all that and that I was so happy she wanted to help.
Oops...sorry Kacey, I just hijacked your celebration for something less happy.
How was the clothes shopping???????
ChefBeckyD said:Yeah, we should apologize for hijacking Kacey's thread, because we know how diligent she is to not hijack threads!:p
Kitchen Diva said:Can I just get away with taking pictures of the clothing on a hanger? Most of my clothes look better on the hanger, anyway!
But my sister did tell me once that I could wear a burlap sack and still look fabulous- so we'll see!
katie0128 said:Since we can't all come invade your house for dinner, you need to post pic of you showing us the results of the new employee shopping spree!
The funny thing is that I don't view myself as one of those people. Yes I do have great hair- I alway have. And until my sister moved in I also had great skin. thanks to Pilates I do have a nice toosh- but that's it! I think you are very beautiful, Janet!janetupnorth said:Oh, so you're one of THOSE people...I don't like you anymore...
Just kidding, I'll forgive you for being absolutely cute in anything!

katie0128 said:I didn't log off, but I see you are now logged off! The clothes are too cute... and just my style, too! I love the red shirt and the twin set in green - my FAV color! I have a strange obsession with twin sets - probably because they hide all sorts of flaws!
Nice tour! Did the cost of admission come with lunch as well?
ChefDella said:Congrats on the job!!!!! hope you really enjoy it,atleast you will know you will be looking good while on the job. LOL!!

aPamperedBride said:LOL! I know you weren't trying to be funny, but I so relate! My husband will make a pile of all my PC stuff that he "doesn't know where it goes", but expect credit for unloading the dishwasher!
aPamperedBride said:Kacey, just realized I never did say congratulations! Honestly, it's because I wanted to find the thread and read about what happened w/ your sister since I'm out of the loop on that, but I gathered she lived w/ you short-term while both you and DH were unemployed and that she probably didn't contribute financially during this difficulty. But it sounds like you were able to vent to "actual" friends here (ref. your post about spending too much time on here) and endure the trial. (James 1:2-4 says to consider it 'pure joy' rather than 'pure h-e-double hockey sticks') The wardrobe looks great!
I refuse to do DH laundry; I do enough around here while working full-time. The catbox will become his responsibility once I become pregnant, but until then, I deal with their "byproducts." I've paid a friend a few times to come clean but I'm too frugal to hire a service! Anyway, I'm becoming addicted to this site and must call it a night!
