Vintage Recipe Cards: Seeking Shows Theme & More!

Click For Summary
The discussion revolves around the desire to collect old recipe cards, particularly from themed shows, to create incentive sets for fundraising efforts. One consultant suggested using these cards as rewards for participants who contribute to a round-up, with the idea of raising more money for a charitable cause, RUFTH. The approach involves either informing participants that they will receive the cards for rounding up or offering them as a thank-you after the contribution. One consultant reported a significant increase in donations during a show where this method was used, achieving an average of $15 compared to the usual $2-$3. There is a call for more old recipe cards, with offers from members to share their collections.

Put them in little sets and use them as incentive for people to round up...another consultant in my cluster had the idea and I love it.

So, do you tell them that they get this if the round-up or just give it to them as a thanks when they do and hope that the word gets around?

She said that she has been telling them...but I think that she said that she gives it to them if they round up plus add $1 so instead of just rounding to the next dollar it is up an extra dollar after that...she said that she wants to raise more money for RUFTH this year...she said that she did it at one show and it went over really well. She said that her RUFTH average is about $2-$3 but at the show that she did it at she got $15. I think that it is great...it is a small price for us and it makes a big difference for the food bank...however I don't have very many old recipe cards to use for it. She uses 6 cards in each...3 new and 3 old

thanks, let us know how it works out.

i have 3 packs from cucina italiana, 3 dine out at home, and 2 from chocolate, chocolate, chocolate (one is open). They were given to me and I'd be glad to give them to you b/c I don't really use them.

PM me or email me your name/address and I'll drop them in the mail.
