Do we HAVE to switch? My computeer is Windows Xp, I think it might be 98. I don't know? I'm not in the position to buy new yet.. I got this in 2004 would windows 98 be on it? Or does XP tell you it's NOt 98?

Oh these fancy typewriters we use.......lol

The teleconference call I was on this morning was taped and I hopefully will get an e-mail letting me know when it can be heard so I can let everyone here know how to retrieve it.

It didn't tell me that much more than what I already knew but it was helpful especially for those that haven't had that much exposure to it.

One of the things that stuck with me was when you are adding a customer to a show that if they aren't in your contacts list and you want to add them you need to check off on the right side to add them as a contact as it doesn't automatically put them in your contacts. I knew PP didn't do it either but where P3 does so much I thought it might have.

I also heard that P3 is now MAC compatible. If it doesn't work on your MAC you should contact Tech Support.

The biggest thing is to get in the habit of when you turn on your computer in the morning and go on to the internet also open P3 so if there are any updates it can do it then before you get in the middle of doing something. This way you will be ready when you call a customer/host or if they call you without being interrupted by the update. You only need to be online when you are updating and submitting a show. From what I understand the less information you have in there the faster the update goes but everyone agreed that it is now faster updating than before so things are starting to show progress. It is a slower speed sometimes.

The subject of more contact management came up and as we were all told they are still working on fixing it to be better. Reports are also being worked on so we still need to be patient and let HO tech people know what we are looking for.

It was basically going over where to find how to add a show, contact, items, payments and a bit on finalizing. I am trying to remember what else was mentioned and am drawing a blank.

Also very important even though we don't have a reminder yet to back up we should try to remember to do it everytime before we close the program.

It works on XP fine and I think on Windows 98. You don't need to buy a new computer. Depending on your computer you may need more memory but if you bought it in 2004 new it should be XP. When you turn your computer on it should state which version it is.

You don't have to switch right away. I think I heard that we have 2 years to do so--don't quote me on that. Eventually all of us will have to be on it so they are recommending that you install it without importing if you are hesitant and learn by using the start up guide and playing with it. When you think you are ready, uninstall it and then install it and import your PP.

PP3 is OK. Still getting used to they differences but love the new PP3 receipts and the options of putting your e-mail on there.
One thing I noticed, if you accidently mark a show "catalog" show, you may not change it to cooking show.
It DOES allow you to change from cooking to catalog. Don't make that mistake like I did

That was brought up too. Right now put it in as cooking and if you decide it should be a catalog show then you can change it back. That is also something they have on their list of things to correct.

It is an XP that I know for sure. I was worried when I saw an earlier post of XP98:eek:  I think I will try it out first because I am working on a laptop that I use predominantly for school and PC. It's filling up FAST:eek:

Thanks for the help Harriet:) Laurel

Your welcome CAmomCookin4U! Good luck!

I did it...at the beginning of the month!! I was scared of change just like many of you!! But, we have to keep up with the times! Now that I am used to it, it isn't so bad! Hopefully they will come out with the rest of the reports soon!!!

Good job Marlene! The more you use it the more comfortable you will be with it! We just have to be patient for more reports!
