Shipping to NH for Tax Savings: How Does It Affect Catalog Orders?

In summary, as an independent consultant for Pampered Chef, you will typically need to file a Schedule C (Form 1040) to report your business income and expenses. Your Pampered Chef income should be reported as self-employment income on your tax return, and you may be eligible for tax deductions for business expenses. If you expect to owe $1,000 or more in taxes for the year, you may need to pay estimated taxes quarterly. You may also be able to deduct the cost of attending Pampered Chef conferences or events as a business expense, but it is best to consult with a tax professional for specific guidance.

I didn't know where to post this but... I live in Maine where tax is 5%. I am doing a catalog show with a girl who also lives in Maine but works in New Hampshire where there is no tax. She wants to know if her coworkers/friends have to pay tax on thier orders if she has the entire order shipped to a NH address. Does anyone know the answer to this question? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Becky

Hi Becky,

I'm not sure, but I think you pay the sales tax of the state where the items are being ship to...So if everything is being shipped to NH, your guests would pay the NH sales tax...

I think that's right, if not, please correct me. :)

Sales tax are paid according to where the party is shipped so have it go to NH.

Ship it to NH and nobodywill pay tax :)
