I like that idea too. I hadn't really thought about it before but you are right, it's much more professional. I think that people really appreciate handwritten notes now-a-days.PChefPEI said:I like that idea. That's the part about the letter that I don't really like. It doesn't seem very personable, but I do like that it is very professional.
I do like the idea of the SB too, but I already give them one at their show and have the guests sign it for the host.

And, just so you don't feel bad...I only JUSt started doing the handwritten TY cards this summer when I presented my workshop with the loveliest Director from NY, Laura Polito. She told me how she sends out TY notecards...and I was all "huh??" And then at our workshop she wrote me a really sweet notecard and gave me a little gift: a pack of notecards so I couls start sending out TY's - LOL
My hosts are REALLY touched by the extra effort!
Sending a thank you note in direct sales is crucial as it helps build and strengthen relationships with customers. It shows appreciation for their business, encourages repeat purchases, and enhances customer loyalty. A personal touch can make customers feel valued and more connected to your brand.
A thank you note should include a sincere expression of gratitude, a specific mention of what you are thanking the recipient for, and a personal touch, such as a shared experience or a compliment. You can also include a reminder of your products or services and an invitation for future engagement.
To make your thank you notes stand out, consider using personalized stationery, adding a handwritten message, or including a small gift or sample of a product. Tailoring the note to reflect the recipient's preferences or previous purchases can also make it more memorable.
The best time to send a thank you note is as soon as possible after the transaction or interaction, ideally within 24 to 48 hours. This promptness shows that you value the customer’s time and business, reinforcing a positive impression of your brand.
While handwritten notes add a personal touch, digital thank you notes can also be effective, especially if they are well-designed and personalized. The key is to ensure that the message feels genuine and heartfelt, regardless of the medium you choose.
