How to Retrieve Permanently Deleted Emails in Outlook Express on Windows XP?

Does anyone know how to recover deleted email files.

I have Outlook Express..I deleted some messages from my Inbox, then deleted them from the Deleted Items folder. Once I hit deleted all, I realized there were emails in it that I needed.

We have Windows, not Vista...

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

I am not sure if you can or not...I do know my stepfather's job is to "un-delete" all kinds of files that you deleted on your computer. He is in law enforcement. Even though you delete things they are NEVER truely gone... Can't get in touch with him or I would be asking him..

If you haven't added new messages to the folders or compacted the files you may have a chance.

Try this utility if you have XP: How to recover deleted messages in Outlook Express mail folders.You said you have Windows not Vista but Vista is Windows so I'm not sure what OS you have...

There are more costly utilities out there too...Best thing to learn is to not get "click-happy"
