ya know, Amy, I had been thinking evening was a great time to do this because you would be reaching out to the people that already work an evening job...blah, blah, blah.....I guess not!
At least you got the info from one person, and the bridal thing sounds like that could really pan out! Best of all, you stepped outside of your comfort zone and did something new, and for that you should be very proud of yourself! I know I am proud of you!

I am heading to CTC on Wednesday...I spaced and forgot an appt I have for tomorrow, so I will let you know how my "shopping" goes!

oh, and Becky!! I WANT TO BE YOU WHEN I GROW UP!!!!!

I am soooo happy all of this is coming together for you!!!!

Alright, so I haven't ever posted in this thread but Jessamary motivated me today w/ her Pampering a Business and I got on the phone tonight. I called 3 cold leads for bookings (I haven't been able to ever get them at a good time and have had their info passed month to month for almost a year) and left one msg on a machine, 2 msgs with husbands, and talked to one person. The one I talked to wants me to call her in September about booking October or November. The hubby didn't act like he wanted to take a msg and I know the other one didnt! The voicemail I left, just called me back!! She apologized for breaking her moms rule of calling after 9pm and booked her September show!! YEAH!!! That puts 5 cooking shows and 1 catty on my September so far!!! SWEET!!!

YEA Chris! you need to keep posting here!

I have decided that I need a kick in the pants from y'all... I NEED to call 2 of my August shows to host coach and have just kept finding excuses. I know I need to call them, but I just can't pick up that phone for some reason! Please give me the kick I need by telling me WHY I should call the hosts!

Becky and Meg, Wahoo on your recruits. That is awesome!

I forgot to mention over the weekend that I spoke to my dad's wife about the Fundraiser for the VFW Post. The woman in charge wants to wait and hold it at a later date so that we can plan a successful one. I plan on meeting with her during my trip this coming weekend (going to my dad's near Myrtle Beach, about 4.5 hours away).

Today, I brought a catalog and order forms to a friend/neighbor/past host who asked for one so that she can bring it to work to see if there is any interest. She is at a new job, with new people. She is a former At Home America consultant who is thinking about selling Tastefully Simple. I inserted the recruiting promo flyer with the catty also. I am hoping to coax her to PC especially now that we have a TS consultant in the neighborhood. (See next contact)

My next contact was an e-mail correspondence with another neighbor/friend (that the above neighbor knows as well). Two weeks ago I had contacted her about her DPDS. She had checked maybe about the opportunity. I gave her some info, and then a couple of days later she sent me an e-mail saying that she is intrigued, but probably won't sign up right now, because she is finishing her degree (and graduating in Dec.), but she would keep me in mind. A few days later at the pool, she was asking more questions (and I found out she was also speaking to another friend/neighbor about the interest), and had concerns that the PC market would be saturated, and we would be competing over the friends in the neighborhood. She mentioned that she thought about selling Tastefully Simple. I told her not to worry about market saturation or the competition. I didn't really speak to her anymore about it (we got busy as we were attending a Bday party at the pool) and did not think I had to worry, because I did not realize she was looking to sign somewhere right away. Anyhow, today, I send her an e-mail inviting her to our cluster meeting coming up on Monday. She replied to me letting me know that she has signed with TS!!!!!!! with her TS info in her sig line. UGH!

My third contact was to a lead from the salon on Friday. She was the other stylist that entered my drawing. (there were only 2 entries.) She booked a show for September 15th!

slow night....a couple of MAC calls, some vmails, and a delay to rebook.

on the other hand, i spoke to my 89 year old great aunt for almost an hour and learned of her courtship and out of state marriage to my great uncle!

Hey RainbowBright!!
I was thinking earlier that you will not be able to do your opportunity night since you'll have signed them already!!:D:D

Becky & I are each doing an opportunity night for our potential recruits in hopes of getting them off the fence......

I don't think I have any leads touching the fence, yet. Hope it works out for you.

Jae, I always tell my team that the number of upcoming hosts they have is the minimum number of recruit leads they have;)

I made 1 contact on Friday my doc, his wife & him like the products. So we will see if they place an order. I took the weekend off because we were camping. I will need to make up tomorrow for all the contacts I have missed.

Had nine contacts yesterday. Possibility of two shows and a couple of orders. :)

You've got 'em - just nail down those dates Girl!

So, I made contacts by e-mail today. I invited 3 recruit leads to our fall kick-off on Saturday, September 6th. One responded within 1 hour to go with me!!!! She wants everything in the catalog and said, "maybe someday". I'm hoping this will help get her excitement up for the biz!

I made calls this evening--13 contacts and 1 possible sale. (She'll be getting back with me.)

I called a potential hosts to set a show date...still waiting to hear from her...might have to call again tomorrow night.

I had a PTA budget meeting tonight~I am wearing a OC shirt, and on the way out, a Mom stopped me to get a new catalog! THEN, a nother Mom, whom I ralked to about the business about 3 months ago, said she would really be interested in joining soon....when I told her about the rebate, she said "OK, maybe really soon!"

If all of these recruit leads really come thru, that will be 4 in one month! AND I am still going shopping for leads tomorrow! (I am a little concerned that I am excited about this part!)

WHOHOO Meg - the month isn't over!

Left 14 messages on machines today, 1 message w/a live person, got 2 no's from 2 people and 4 not at this time, but keep in touch..........

I made three calls tonight, left one message, one no answer and one was fine and didn't need anything.

I made 3 contacts tonight, 1 booking for Sept., 1 possible, & a cc call. Left a few messages, and now I need to get back in my groove.

Got all machines today. Time to start looking for NEW leads. I did get to make a few host coaching calls so that was good. Host for this coming Tues. is still MIA.

touched base with a recruit lead - no go
potential host confirmed date and show time
bunches of messages left.....

Left a bunch of messages last night too.....
....talked to a host for Sept, who still hasn't picked a date. I really dislike co-hosted shows! Trying to get 2 people to settle on a date is 1000 times harder than getting a date from one person....and then it's just as hard to get the show closed.:grumpy:

I also called someone who is on my list to book - tell me what you think of this?

She attended a show last September....wanted to book, but never got a date on the calendar....then, she attended a show in December, and wrote me a note on the bottom of her care card that she was sorry she couldn't get a date set, but that she still wanted to do it, and don't give up on her.... Well, here it is August, and I still haven't been able to get her to choose a date....what would you do?

Then, this morning, I had an email from a past host (her show was the night of the WORST STORM of the winter, and she still had 12 people there, and ended up with a $700 show!) asking me if she could do a show in November.....so I will be calling her in a minute just to let her know that we can get her booked - but also that the cookware is the host bonus for Sept, and SA for Oct. (Since she is collecting both!)

OK~I suck at "shopping for leads".....nada, zip, nothing............my heart is still in my throat and my tuimmy hurts from stepping so far out of my comfort zone....I am off to skating with the kids!

I've got my 3 live contacts in so far today, but not the results I was hoping for. Now, I'm on a mission. I am going to get atleast 1 show booked today even if it means I have to start making random calls out the phonebook!
