Leslie, I'm not getting the tote either... the way I look at it is that I have enough totes, I would totally use the new bags or some other products more :)

I took a postive spin on it as well. I couldn't really justify to myself claiming the tote as a tax write off, but I can the envelopes!!

Okay so other than this mornings contact, the only other thing I did today was close that catty show from the host that had been MIA.

Guess what it closed at??? $809.25! Can you believe that!? I am loving it today.

I made my 3 today.
1 possible recruit--she is intrigued by the new promotion
1 customer update on specials
1 call in the fall for Oct show.
Did have 1 July catalog host postpone her show until Aug. No tote for me, but definately getting the bags!!
Hi krzymom! I love that name. Great job on your contacts.

What a great catalog show! Love it when that happens.

Just got off the phone with my cousin in VA. She is going to think about becoming a consultant. One contact today. Made other calls but nobody was home. Took my catalogs to the beach, but it was surprisingly not very busy for such a nice beach day.

Where in VA???? If she signs, and lives near me, she is welcome to our meetings! Good luck!

ETA::::read through the posts after I posted this one~Waynesboro isn't near me! Good luck anyway!

I got on the phone yesterday got all voicemails. Got a call back from someone, I don't know if I called them or it it was a wrong #. While trying to determine who each other was I said I was paulette with PC "CLICK!" yup she hung up on me and she had called me! Ugh...

I am getting my NL out. Stole "um borrowed" one from a clustermate who generously shared.

I need to make more calls today. I need to get my kids to cooperate. DS (3) just does not get it, that mommy needs him to play for 15 minutes so I can talk on the phone.

Ugh! That is the hardest part! DS (4) can be playing quietly, totally ignoring me, but the minute I start speaking to someone, he is wrapped around my leg with a constant barrage of questions, and comments. And he is NOT quiet!

Aw, but he's so adorable!:)

I believe the phone sends out some sort of electronic pulse to our kids that the second we are on it, they feel compelled to talk to us...

Try it with 4 "he touched me", it's my turn, I'm gonna tell".
School starts in how many days.
I haven't done any contacts so far today. Had to take my oldest to get his cast on. I am just exhausted!

Great job - my host e-mailed me this a.m. (The $637 one) to say she's over $700 now.

:D

It's a July show so doesn't help earn envelopes, but great start to August Commission!

after noticing my pic in the CN, I was on cloud 59....

I decided that was a good time to get on the phone and call all recruit leads.

Called 5~one is now on full disability because of health problems but wants me to check with him in a few months when he thinks he will be feeling better; one wants to host a show in Septmeber, but was very intrigued by the 50% rebate and wants to think about getting orders before she signs; the 3 others I left messages with and sent emails with the rebate info!

Our pool trip was delayed until 4:00 so when I go to the pool, I will be carrying my PC bag with mini catalogs and my calendar inside!

so far today I have met with a recruit lead, who I thought was iffy to now thinking she may be "HOT".
Also have done some in person host coaching when I dropped off her packet.
and I have an email requesting a september show.
oh, and got a message that my sept host that switched to Aug is now needing to go back to sept.

and to think I haven't made my calls yet.......

Will be setting a date tonight for my NEW RECRUIT's show! Whoooo Hoooo!

I am going to convince her to have it in close - so that she can still get some August shows in, and if she signs by the 13th - I get the extra conference attendee recruiting bonus! (just remembered that!)

I am now going to call a past host who is also a recruit lead - she emailed me with a question about ordering...of course, we will discuss the recruiting promo going on right now too!

And, have to call a host who has gotten a couple orders since her show closed last week - see if I can get her to turn it into a catty show or something!

Becky, have her consider the current promo. She may really want the sales towards her first $1000.

Also, with the kit 50% back, she gets $77.50 back if she pays $155 for it. If she pays $115 using $40 kit credit, she gets $57.50 back...basically losing out in $20. Would she want $20 more products from her show and not use kit credit when signing or sign right away and use the sales for her start...

Lots to ponder. ;)

Yes, we talked through all of that this morning. She decided she would rather have me do the show - so that she can watch and take notes, and use it for training - watching me through the ordering and submitting process too. And she wants to see me do an interactive show. She was here for my Power Cooking Clinic, but she wants to see me do something like that at her house.

See, I KNOW she will be a natural at this, but one thing that has held her back for all this time is a fear that she won't be able to speak in front of people. She also thinks she isn't going to know enough - even though I've told her MANY times what a natural she is, and how she practically does the show for me when she hosts.... I have told her to already be booking her shows, and to have 4 bookings already set up before we even do her show ~ she has so many people who have repeatedly voiced that they would host a show for her - I don't think there is any way that she can't be successful!

Becky, sounds like she is going to be an awesome consultant - way to go!I had lunch with a friend and got her date on the calendar. I now have a show on the 19th and 20th and leave out of town for a wedding (I'm the personal attendant) the morning of the 22nd...I also contacted my aunt again to try and get a date for her show for the week of the 11th-16th. She is looking at her schedule and getting back to me.I am totally exhausted right now... had a migraine last night and it just wiped me out (I slept for 12 hours!!! crazy!), so I think I'm going to veg for a bit. Have a good afternoon ladies!

I call it "Phone Radar" at our house! Either that is the time to need me or to decide to do some stupid (yes, I used that word) stunt like stick an unpopped popcorn kernel in your ear or have a battle with swords and knock the snot out of your sibling until they bleed or scream for their life, or test 9V batteries with your tongue, OR force your sibling to test 9V batteries with THEIR tongue, or create a human bridge to see who can do a long jump better (just in case you ever want to make the Olympics), or ..............you get the idea.

BUT the absolute best is when the 6' child who is "supposed" to be in charge decides to particpate in any of the above mentioned activities during your calling time.

oooh, I LOVE technology right now even if I am a complete idiot about it and how it works. Which in all honesty I could care less how it works, as long as works when I want to use it.
I booked a show tonight at football practice. Not with another parent there. I took my laptop to try to do some notes and such, and was able to log onto WiFi and check my email. Got a booking request from someone from my newsletter that I sent yesterday. It's for October, but I'll take it! So far 2 shows and one small online order from the newsletter!! Love it!

Had the table at the salon today. Hardly any traffic. I did get one order for about $30. The owner took a catty and may order. She may host a show at a later date. Handed out a few more catty's and a wedding registry brochure.

Had a show tonight, with about 7-8 guests in attendance. Sales are at $571 including outside orders. The host during coaching had mentioned she had thought about the business, but her objection was that she had an autistic son. So tonight she mentions that her friends have been asking when she is going to start selling it!!! I told her to watch the DVD and we'll talk more!

Wow, Brenda! That's exciting! Did you let her know she gets the bookings from her show?

There are some consultants on CS with Autistic children - you might want to start a thread asking for their feedback!

WOO HOO BREN! Keep us posted on that one!

Yay Brenda! Sounds like she will be off to a great start with her friends already asking her about it!Well, I finally solidified a date with my Aunt - the 14th! We're chatting Sunday night when she gets back from the camper about the details. Now I have shows the 14th, 19th and 20th! I am full for August, so excited! The weekend of the 23rd is the wedding in Wisconsin I'm in, then Labor Day weekend I have a huge work thing (we planned a weekend full of events for the undergrad students, so I will be working like 20 hour days!) and the 1st weekend in September we have another weekend packed full of events! Then the weekend after that I am sitting at a booth for a friend after she leaves for her son's graduation in Chicago! So I will try to fill 3-4 dates in the last 2 1/2 weeks of September now! yay!!!

Way to go Alison! I am so glad you pinned your aunt down for a date! Hope it's at least a $1K show for you!

Sounds like everyone was nice and busy yesterday. I, on the other hand, didn't do my contacts. Well, I guess I did have two. I wound up on the phone with an old childhood friend. Her son's in a bit of trouble, and we wound up talking for about an hour. That kind of shot my calling time, but I consider it time well spent. Today I'm off to a small town's rummage sale day, then The Furry Guy's company picnic. I'll be wearing PC gear, so I'm sure I'll get a few contacts. :)

WOW! What a day I have had~I had to come & share!

After the "surprise, you are in the CN" moment, I got on the phone! I called 5 recruit leads~3 I left messages for, 1 is on full disbility for some health problems and wants to wait a few months to see how his health improves and the other one wants me to send info about the 50% rebate...she thinks she can get orders at a "cousin picnic" she is having in a few weeks!

THEN, I go to the pool with a good friend of mine...I carry my lime green PC bag for the pool towels and have not even gotten into the gate before 3 people stop me!!!!! One is placing an order on my friends show she is doing this month and the other 2 want to book shows!! I had thrown in some mini's into the bag "just in case!"

Whew.......I gotta go get some rest! We have a car wash at church and you know I will be wearing a PC shirt!!!!

forgot to mention that i emailed all of my recruit leads about my opportunity night. I'll follow up with calls next week, but I wanted to put it out there to give them something to think about before I call.

Allison - where in WI are you going?

Fun today. I went to a bunch of rummage sales, then attended The Furry Guy's Company picnic. About a dozen contacts (probably more, but I'll count it as 12), a few show nibbles, and an order. :)
