I did book to look for the first time last week. My host got the three bookings. I know I don't give those guests their gifts until they hold their shows.

The host, do I give hers now or when the 3rd is held? I was kind of vague with her that she gets the prize but didn't say when and want to clarify when I close her show tomorrow.

Obviously, it makes more sense to do it after the 3rd. But that one might not be until July or Aug. It would have her helping me make sure these happen but would a host really be OK with waiting that long?

I give out a free piece of stoneware to hosts who have 3 friends book shows (don't have to all book FROM her show, but she has to get 3 bookings to get it) and my coupon indicates that she will get the stoneware AT the third show - I've never had anyone complain, they all seem to understand why I would make that stipulation.

awesome job getting the 3 bookings !

Thanks. I was leaning that way too. I'll let her know when we close about getting it at the third show...we'll just put it on her order and I'll pay for it, so I will need her help to make sure her three hold their shows!

Book to Look?OK, I understand the whole concept of getting your host to line up three bookings but not understanding the term "book to look". Thanks for your help!

The way I use it is by giving each guest a sealed envelope that says "Book to Look" on it. Each envelope has a picture of a product in it, and the only way the guest gets to see what's in it is by booking a show. If they book a show, they can open the envelope and they will receive that product at their show. The funny thing is...I had a hostess book a March show so she could get the Cutting Board with Measuring Cups, and when she opened her BtoL envelope, that's what was inside!!! I gave her the option to get something else, but I'm hoping she'll order the Mandoline!

Thanks for clearing this up for me! This makes sense. Do you just download photos from PC and print them out? Also, any feedback from anyone on success with this would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

I have never given my host anything for people booking through the "book to look" envelope. LOL does everyone do that?

I don't do book to look. I just ask for bookings and encourage my host to ask there friends b4 and after there show(b4 we close) so they may get 60% for the next several months. I average 3-4 bookings/show. No expense on my part. I let the company lather my host's with gifts. & They LOVE IT:D
