My laptop screen has died so I won't be able to use it at my show tomorrow, and since I usually use it I don't pay much attention to adding up orders as the computer does it for me. Anyhow, my question is, when my former host uses her booking benefit at the show tomorrow, she'll get two knives at 60% off... does she then get an additional 10% off (my guess is no, and I told her that already but wanted to check for sure). Then, if she gets more knives at 20% off, she WILL get 10% additional off of those, right?

Thanks all!

You are correct.

No additional discount on the 60% off items.

She DOES get her additional 10% off of the guest special...so, 10% off of the 20% off sale price.

Guest sales are based on her product purchase AFTER HER DISCOUNT....

Correct - she only gets the 60% off for the booking benefit discount.

Correct again - she can get the knives for 20% off for the guest special and then another 10% off the disounted amount.

Thanks all!

Crud... the fact that I'll have to figure the total show sales by hand to tell the hostess hadn't quite registered yet... Grrrrrrrr laptop!

Kim, I just sent you a PM.

i know this probably isnt the best way to do it .. but i just add up the guest orders and give her an estimate at the end of the show so she knows about how much to be shopping for with her benefits. then when i get home, i enter in all the orders and email her the updated/corrected amount of guest sales. i dont have a laptop to bring with me so i just do it at home .. none of my hosts have a problem with that, since they get to shop alittle before they know what the limit is

That plus it's a good "waiting" time to see if they can get some outside orders to boost their rewards!

ACTUALLY, after the host gets her 2 60% off items then she can get the guest special as well AT the discount she earned as a host. Which means: Say she earned a 30% discount, she will then get 30% off of the guest special price. This is only valid at her show though. After that if she orders any more in August she will get them at 10% off (past host discount) of the guest special price. However, if someone booked an Aug. show from hers she will get 2 more at 60% off. Does this make sense or did I confuse everyone here more?

Makes sense... what I was mostly wondering about is my show today booked off of a show in June, and that June host is coming and definitely wants more knives (she bought the half-price combo at her show). Think I've got it clarified now, thanks!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Host Special in Pampered Chef?

A Host Special is a promotional offer available to hosts who hold a Pampered Chef party. It typically includes exclusive discounts or free products that are only available to hosts during their party month. This is designed to encourage more people to host parties and to reward them for their efforts.

How do I calculate the payment for a host special?

To calculate the payment for a host special, first determine the total sales from the party. Then, apply any discounts associated with the host special to the total. Finally, subtract any applicable host rewards or credits to find the final amount the host needs to pay for their special items.

Can hosts combine multiple host specials?

No, hosts cannot combine multiple host specials. Each party typically has one host special that applies for that specific month. However, hosts can take advantage of their regular host rewards alongside the host special.

What happens if a host's party sales do not meet the minimum requirement for a host special?

If a host's party sales do not meet the minimum requirement for a host special, they will not be eligible to receive that specific special. However, they can still earn regular host rewards based on the total sales of their party, which may include discounts on products or free items based on the sales tier achieved.

How can I find out the current host special for my party?

The current host special can be found on the Pampered Chef website or by contacting your Pampered Chef consultant. They will provide you with the most up-to-date information on available host specials for the month of your party.
