Re: Houseparty.comWOO HOO, I just got email about what's going to be in Alpine Lace things and sounds pretty darn cool.

Inside your FREE Party Package, you’ll find:

For your party:

* 1 Sex and the City- The Movie DVD
* 1 Event table sign
* Alpine Lace® Cheese VIP coupons for free Alpine Lace® Cheese to serve at your party--a $20 value
* 3 appetizer recipe instruction cards
* 1 - Roll Out Red Carpet

For your guests:

* 15- Alpine Lace® Cheese recipe booklet
* 30- Alpine Lace® Cheese $1 off coupons
* 15- Cosmo glasses
* 15- Drink Recipes
* 15- Gift Bags

Has anyone tried or made Non-alcoholic version of Cosmo's?? My hostess has some friends coming that have "problems" with alcohol, so we want to make virgin ones only. I'm hoping way I can mix in QSP and then pour into cups they are providing.

Re: Houseparty.comMine shipped also!! I haven't seen Sex in the City yet!!!I was wondering how they would ship that cheese! I thought it might be coupons. $20.00 worth!! WOO HOO!!!

Re: Houseparty.comSo does this cost money? And what's the catch?

Re: Houseparty.comNope doesn't cost anything to join Lacey. You fill out a survey for each party you sign up for and then if you get selected you host a get together with family and friends and try out the products they ship (for free to you!) and then you can post pictures and comments on their blog - thats it -

I did the greenworks one, but didn't blog anything on it - and still got selected for the Alpine Lace one -

Re: Houseparty.comThanks Dor! Hmmm...do I need another thing to do? lol!

Re: Houseparty.comWhat happens if you can't do the party???

Then you probably shouldn't sign up. They tell you what day everyone else is doing it but also tell you if that doesn't work for you, you can pick a day that works better.

Me too (not the Alpine Lace, but I was picked for the TNT tv show)! None of my friends will get on the website and leave feedback. They are all paranoid about their personal info. I kind of get it but at the same time they just got some free stuff. At least Houseparty doesn't choose according to how much feedback they got from your previous party! :)

Re: Houseparty.comWhat happens if nobody shows up? Do you have to send the stuff back? Also, do all your invites have to be evites?

Re: Houseparty.comThe whole point is to get there product in peoples hands. If someone tries a product they are going to buy it and tell people about it. No you don't have to send the stuff back if noone comes. I did the Cartoon Network one and noone was really into the whole Clone Wars things. Most of my friends have little girls.
But I handed it all out and people love the little samples of stuff. Most of them said they wanted to check the show out anyway! I didn't blog but got picked again also!!

I got it too and I love this stuff! It works SO well and smells really good. I'm really happy with the stuff and will continue to buy it once I'm out!

Re: Houseparty.comThese two parties I have on the 15th will be my 4th and 5th parties. It is so much fun but it's only fun if you want it to be. They send you the stuff and then you do what you want. I am putting up my Christmas tree the 15th for the Pre Holiday party and even having a mini Yankee Swap (Gifts can be no more than $5 value LOL) Along with all the food then watching Sex and the City what a night this will be. I never got to see the movie in the theaters. My husband already said he is going to our bedroom and locking the doors with tv loud LOL He knows we will be loud and laughing and he has to be to work at 4 a.m. LOL

What a sport. At least he isn't crabbing about people being there. That sounds like a fun night.

Re: Houseparty.comDUDE, what the heck does it take to be "accepted" to host a party?! I've registered for about 1/2 dozen of them and have been DENIED by all! :O :(!

Re: Houseparty.comLOL - Heather -

You are filling out the survey right? - I applied as soon as they posted them - not sure if that helped - I do think that the survey has something to do with it - like if you have a digital camera etc - keep trying, time will tell -

FYI - I was LOL at the "dude" thing - my DD's do that all the time -

Re: Houseparty.comHeehee, me and DH call everyone in our household DUDE, and we are all girls except DH! LOL

Yes, I do fill out all of the surveys! I wonder if it's a good thing to have all of the electronics they list???:( One day, perhaps, I will be good enough (sigh). ;)
