You can always go to www.pamperedchef.com - consultant corner -and check any zip code to know their tax rates. Sometimes they are different the next county or city over from me.
Consultant Corner -> My business -> Tax information ->Tax Rate Guide

Frequently Asked Questions

What is PA tax and how does it apply to Pampered Chef catalog show items?

PA tax, or Pennsylvania sales tax, is a tax imposed on the sale of tangible personal property and certain services in Pennsylvania. When you host a Pampered Chef catalog show, the items sold are subject to PA sales tax, which means that the total price of the items will include this tax. It is important for hosts and guests to be aware of this additional cost when planning their purchases.

How is the PA sales tax calculated on catalog show items?

The PA sales tax is calculated as a percentage of the total retail price of the items being purchased. As of now, the state sales tax rate in Pennsylvania is 6%. If you are in a specific locality that imposes an additional local tax, the total rate could be higher. To calculate the tax, simply multiply the total price of the items by the applicable sales tax rate.

Who is responsible for collecting and remitting the PA sales tax for catalog shows?

The Pampered Chef consultant hosting the catalog show is responsible for collecting the PA sales tax from customers at the time of sale. The consultant must then remit this collected tax to the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue as part of their sales tax obligations.

Are there any items that are exempt from PA sales tax during catalog shows?

In Pennsylvania, certain items may be exempt from sales tax, such as food items intended for human consumption. However, most Pampered Chef products, including kitchen tools and cookware, are taxable. It is important to check the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue guidelines or consult with a tax professional for specific exemptions that may apply.

What should I do if I have questions about PA sales tax on my catalog show purchases?

If you have questions regarding PA sales tax on your catalog show purchases, it is best to reach out to your Pampered Chef consultant for clarification. They can provide specific information regarding tax calculations and any applicable exemptions. Additionally, you can consult the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue's website for official guidelines and resources related to sales tax.
