I am doing a booth at a vendor fair this weekend and was wondering what you have used in the past if asked for a Raffle Item? I have a few products on hand. Was wondering if a Gift Certificate would be ok to do or if I should do product? Thanks for any advice.

Re: RaffleI've done the gift certificate. (I used my own, worth $10 or worth $25 "at your own show.") I recently listened to a training CD, though, that had a really good point. People like to see what they're getting. I've got an extra Trifle Bowl. At my next expo I'll be putting a few small items I have on hand inside and wrapping it in cellophane with a pretty bow. The point they made on the CD was that what you're doing should be visually striking.

Re: RaffleThat sounds good Rae, Thanks. I do have a Tool Turn about. I might do that with a mini serving spatula and a couple other things.

Re: RaffleSo, Rae, are you saying you're using the Trifle Bowl as the raffle prize, or just as an example of what they could buy with their gc?

Re: RaffleThe thing I like about doing a GC that's redeemable only through me is that I know I will have the opportunity to make a new contact. When they get a prize, they usually don't contact the consultant afterwards.

Re: RaffleMaybe do a GC with a Season's Best and Serving Spatula? I was just thinking about this very same thing for an upcoming booth I have. Thanks for the suggesstions.

The Trifle Bowl filled with a couple of extra (new in box) products I already have on hand will be the prize. I've done this expo before, and I usually get $200 - $500 in sales. Plus, I've already got these things on hand, so there's nothing out of pocket.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I bring to my booth at the vendor fair?

It's essential to bring a variety of Pampered Chef products for display, business cards, order forms, and a pen. Additionally, consider bringing a tablecloth, a sign with your name and contact information, and any promotional materials like catalogs or flyers. Don't forget to have a payment method ready, such as a mobile payment app or cash for transactions.

How can I attract more customers to my booth?

To attract more customers, create an inviting booth display with bright colors and clear signage. Offer samples of your products, as tasting can entice potential buyers. Engage with passersby by greeting them warmly and asking questions about their cooking needs. Consider running a small giveaway or contest to draw people in and collect their contact information.

What should I do if I run out of a popular product?

If you run out of a popular product, be transparent with your customers. Let them know that the item is currently unavailable but offer to take orders or provide information on when it will be back in stock. You can also suggest similar products that they might like and encourage them to sign up for your newsletter to stay updated on new arrivals.

How can I follow up with leads after the event?

After the event, follow up with leads by sending a personalized email thanking them for visiting your booth. Include any special offers or promotions you discussed and remind them of the products they showed interest in. If you collected contact information through a raffle or sign-up sheet, use that to reach out and keep the conversation going.

What are some effective ways to promote my booth before the event?

Promote your booth by leveraging social media platforms to announce your participation in the vendor fair. Share sneak peeks of what you'll be showcasing and any special promotions. You can also create an event page and invite your friends and family to spread the word. Additionally, consider reaching out to local community groups or forums to let them know about your booth and encourage attendance.
