I got a phone call today from my director about a show on the 13th of September the orginal consultant is un able to do the show, so I was asked to do it in her place Of courise I said yes. Their was 60 invations that were sent out already... I am think HOLY COW this is going to be a big show.. (crossing fingers and toes) How do I host coach from scratch.. I have only been doing this five months so I don't want to approach it the wrong way and the host be totaly turned off by me... or have horriable sales because of it...... I will talk all suggestions!!!

Thanks

I would call and to tell her that you are excited to be working with her and want to make sure that all of the details are covered. When she says 60 were sent out congratulate her. You really need to stress the importance of the reminder call a day before the show.

This is really important because I find the ones that way over invite get tired of calling and don't want to call the whole list. Just Sunday my hostess had 4 guests show up. I had sent out 49 postcards so, I know they were sent. She felt bad and I felt really let down. I will use her as an example for the next few years until I forget again:rolleyes:

Have fun and really enjoy yourself! Thank the hostess and tell everyone what a great hostess she is and you will get lots of bookings!

Frequently Asked Questions

What is host coaching, and why is it important for a show handed over to me?

Host coaching is the process of guiding and supporting your host to ensure a successful show. It is important because it helps the host feel confident and prepared, which can lead to higher sales and attendance. When a show is handed over to you, effective host coaching ensures that the new host understands the goals and expectations, making the transition smooth and successful.

How do I establish communication with the host after taking over the show?

Reach out to the host as soon as possible through their preferred method of communication, whether it’s a phone call, text, or email. Introduce yourself, explain that you will be taking over the show, and express your excitement to work with them. Establishing a friendly and open line of communication will help build rapport and make the host feel supported.

What key information should I share with the host during coaching?

During coaching, share important details such as the show date, time, and location, as well as how to invite guests and promote the event. Discuss the benefits of hosting, such as earning free products and discounts, and provide tips on how to engage guests. Additionally, inform them about any special promotions or themes that may enhance their show.

How can I motivate the host to invite more guests?

Encourage the host to create a personal invitation list and suggest they reach out to friends and family individually, as personal invitations tend to be more effective. Share ideas for fun incentives, such as a small prize for the guest who brings the most friends or a special offer for guests who RSVP early. Remind the host that their enthusiasm can be contagious and will motivate others to attend.

What should I do if the host seems unresponsive or disengaged?

If the host appears unresponsive, try to reach out again using a different communication method or time of day. Express your concern and willingness to help, and ask if there are any barriers preventing them from engaging. Sometimes, offering additional support or resources can reignite their enthusiasm. If necessary, consider simplifying the process or providing more hands-on assistance to help them feel more involved.
