I got a party passed to me from my director..

And I've called the host but she never answers her phone, I leave messages but she wont call back..

in my messages i leave my # and e-mail...

Any suggestions?

I would consult with your director. Why did she pass it to you? Does the host know your director isn't doing? Your director should call the hostess and say "I am sorry I am unavailable that day but I am sending one of my girls to do the show, she will contact you, her name is Nina." or something like that.

The lady may not be calling you back because maybe she feels slighted by your director. (if that is the case,w hich it might or might not be).

Be persistant with the host and I also say "please let me know when a good time to reach you would be." I would also leave your email address on the voicemail too---sometimes people want an "out" but doing it on the phone isn't their preferred way, KWIM?

GOOD LUCK

Thanks for the advice. I'll try that tonight.

sounds like she passed on a Home Office lead to you. Those are notoriously difficult to contact.

I dont know if it was a HO lead, but they already had a date and time set, so she must have been in contact.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if my host isn't responding to my messages?

If your host isn't responding, try reaching out through different communication methods, such as text, email, or a phone call. Sometimes, a change in medium can prompt a response. Additionally, ensure your messages are friendly and supportive, reminding them of the upcoming event and how you can help them succeed.

How long should I wait before following up with a host?

It's generally a good idea to wait about 3-5 days after your initial contact before following up. This gives your host time to respond while also keeping the event fresh in their mind. If you still don’t hear back, a gentle reminder can be helpful.

What if the host is overwhelmed and needs help?

If you suspect your host is feeling overwhelmed, offer your assistance proactively. Reach out and let them know you’re available to help with planning, promoting the event, or answering any questions they may have. This can alleviate some pressure and encourage them to engage with you.

How can I motivate a host who seems disengaged?

To motivate a disengaged host, remind them of the benefits of hosting, such as earning free products and having fun with friends. Share success stories from previous hosts to inspire them. You might also suggest fun themes or activities for the party to rekindle their enthusiasm.

What if the host cancels the party due to lack of response?

If a host cancels due to lack of response, it's important to remain understanding and supportive. Ask if they would like to reschedule for a later date when they feel more prepared. Reassure them that you’re there to help whenever they’re ready to move forward.
