How early is your 2008 year starting!Well today I worked a vendor stop and shop. I now have a booking for January 5! That is one day earlier than my first show this year!

How early do you have a show?

Lisa

I am very concerned...last year I had Jan booked by this time...right now I only have two January bookings and both are for the end of the month...I have a Mom I know from my sons' school who is interested in hosting a show in January, I just need to nail her down for a date. I hope I can get her to do the first week of January. Last year my earliest show was on the 4th.

My first show is January 3. Two years ago I had a brunch show on January 1. It was a small show but a lot of fun!

One thing that has bothered me in the past about scheduling early January is all of the bowl games. Luckily the only game on January 5 is the International Bowl, which is not usually a big game.

This website will give you the rest of the schedule. Of course there might be that host out there who would like to schedule a show during a game, but there just does not seem to be many of them.

Depending on how into the games they are, I'm assuming this would be a good get away for women while the men are sucked into the games!
Stereotyping, I know!

Wow! Good for you all! I don't even think about scheduling a show until 1/8. It takes me a week to get my act together after the holidays. The few times I have scheduled one before that, my hosts usually cancel because they don't have their act together.

For various personal reasons, I never start my January until around the 8th or 9th of the month. With the new Janaury booking incentive, I am going to really try for a few cataog shows (collecting orders between Christmas and the "show date".)

I do not attend Leadership cause my family does a bit weekend event around the exact time of Leadership...but I do try to start as soon as school re-starts.

I tend to offer an extra incentive of some kind for shows before the 15th of January...so often I have 1-2; I really get busier later in teh month.

With the guest specail being any stoneware in January, I am truly hoping for a more vigorous 1st month of the year in 2008 (last year was DISMAL).
