Is there any way you could keep new products off of Facebook one more week? They haven't been announced yet in Canada, but I've already learned of some because of Facebook. :(

Here at least we can ship those threads.....we don't have that option on FB.

When do they announce it in Canada?

Next Friday at our national conference. I'm sure I speak for all of us Canadians when I say we'd appreciate it!

Keep in mind that FB is MUCH larger than us here on CS.

Even if the consultants on here don't post, it does not mean the MANY other consultants on FB won't post something.

You may want to avoid FB for the week, too!

I realize that.....at least in my case, the only US consultants I know are from here. :)

I know I haven't posted about anything with the new products on FB because I'm trying to fill my August Calendar. Only thing I've raved about are some of the new recipes.Sorry your fun has been spoiled!

I'm with Mallory! One of the fundamental rules of sales is "sell what you have today".

Other than the 3 new items that are the August host bonus and the July recruit special I won't be showing new product on FB page until the 18th of this month soonest.

I will post one or two of the new recipes sometime between now and end of month.

All of that having been said there's no way to keep the info out of the public eye. Sorry, PamperedK.

I saw recipes and discontinued items being posted on FB right after the first session. Although I know these are not "technically" sharing the new products, it would certainly tip off some changes that were coming.

yeah i'm trying to just scroll past any US consultant's posts but some posts have been really obvious and hard to miss what they were talking about.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the risks of announcing new products on Facebook before they are officially launched?

Announcing new products prematurely can lead to confusion among customers, create unrealistic expectations, and potentially harm the brand's reputation. It may also lead to issues with inventory management and customer dissatisfaction if the products are not available as expected.

How can I prepare my Facebook audience for new product launches without revealing too much?

You can build anticipation by sharing teasers or hints about upcoming products without disclosing specific details. Engaging your audience with polls or questions about what they would like to see can also create excitement while keeping the actual product information under wraps.

What should I do if I accidentally reveal a new product on Facebook?

If you accidentally announce a new product, quickly clarify the situation with a follow-up post. Acknowledge the mistake and provide the correct information, including the official launch date and any relevant details. Transparency can help maintain trust with your audience.

How can I effectively use Facebook to promote new products once they are officially launched?

Once products are officially launched, use Facebook to showcase high-quality images, videos, and customer testimonials. Create engaging posts that highlight the benefits and features of the new products, and consider using Facebook Live to demonstrate them in real-time.

What guidelines should I follow to avoid premature announcements on social media?

Establish clear communication protocols within your team regarding product launches. Set specific dates for announcements and ensure everyone is on the same page. Additionally, educate your team about the importance of maintaining confidentiality until the official launch date.
