I got a great deal on 2 lbs of country style pork ribs that normally I would bbq. Turns out we are out of gas! What should I do with them now? Do you think I could do them like the 20-min ribs in the DCB? These ones don't have any bones in them.

Thanks!!

I don't see why not. Let us know how they turn out if you do.

Yes, I've done those with BBQ sauce in the DCB in the microwave. DH thought I did them in the oven.

It was frigid out so HE knew I didn't use the grill.

Please let me know. I was wondering about baking them in the DCB too. I buy those alot and use the Ah So sauce as a glaze and usually bake them in the oven at 350 degrees for an hour in another pan on a roasting rack.

How long did you cook them in the microwave and did you baste them with bbq sauce or just put some sauce in the DCB? TIA

I made the in the DCb using the 20 minute rib recipe. Worked awesome!! 18 minutes cooking total. Just do 8 minutes flip over then 10 minutres. The take our and put BBQ sauce on and grill for a couple minutes on each side!! AWESOME!!!!

Sounds wonderful, Stacie!

Frequently Asked Questions

What are country style pork ribs?

Country style pork ribs are a cut of meat that comes from the shoulder area of the pig. Unlike traditional ribs, they are meatier and contain more meat than bone, making them ideal for slow cooking or grilling. They are often sold in large pieces or cut into smaller portions for easier cooking.

How should I prepare country style pork ribs for dinner?

To prepare country style pork ribs, start by seasoning them with your favorite spices or a marinade. You can choose to grill, bake, or slow cook them. For grilling, cook over medium heat for about 20-30 minutes, turning occasionally. For baking, preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C) and cook for 2-3 hours until tender. If using a slow cooker, cook on low for 6-8 hours with some liquid for moisture.

What are some good side dishes to serve with country style pork ribs?

Country style pork ribs pair well with a variety of side dishes. Some popular options include coleslaw, baked beans, cornbread, roasted vegetables, or mashed potatoes. You can also serve them with a fresh salad or grilled corn on the cob for a complete meal.

Can I use a slow cooker for country style pork ribs?

Yes, using a slow cooker is an excellent way to prepare country style pork ribs. Simply season the ribs, place them in the slow cooker with some broth or sauce, and cook on low for 6-8 hours. This method allows the meat to become tender and flavorful, making it easy to shred and serve.

What sauces go well with country style pork ribs?

Country style pork ribs are delicious with a variety of sauces. Barbecue sauce is a classic choice, but you can also try teriyaki sauce, honey mustard, or a spicy chipotle sauce for a different flavor profile. For a tangy twist, consider a vinegar-based sauce or a homemade glaze with fruit preserves.
