I had only two contacts yesterday, but one of those resulted in the purchase of a $70 Santoku. Yippee!I spent the evening making cookies, fudge, and soap, and entering a show.Calls this evening.

Wow Rae, don't you just love those random BIG orders!!

Well, today my contacts have been all about recruiting. I'm really trying to plant some seeds to get some folks signed at the end of the month to take advantage of the extra bonus period! I KNOW that made such a huge impact on my business starting off right!
Oh, and I did give a catalog to one of my children's bus driver - suggested she do some Christmas shopping with me. I so need to pad my show sales with a bunch of individual orders!!

seems like the posting is slowing down, are we all winding down for the year?

Becky, I am there with you! I am treading waters just keeping up with hosts and preparing for shows. I still need to get my letters ready for my January hosts. No shopping done here, house looks like a cyclone hit it, and I am also waiting for the 15th to arrive!!!!

Amy, my Sunday host is also elusive, have not been able to reach her since she set the date on my calendar. I have left voicemails telling her I assume the show is still on, but when it is only 3 days away, and no recipe has been confirmed, and not word one from her.........

I have 3 shows open right now that I am hoping to close two tomorrow. (and they are all around the $300 mark). The host for the third show recently had her phone disconnected (or ran out of minutes on her phone) and has no e-mail. I called and left a message with her cousin (who she booked her show from) to call me about closing her show. I am going to try to send her a note via snail mail.

I only made one contact yesterday, and no contacts today. I have shows on Friday and Saturday, and one is scheduled for Sunday, but that is the elusive host.

My show tonight is an hour away! The host is a young, single mom, and she is having the show at her step-mom's house. She fell in love with the cookware, and wants to get it for half price - so she is determined to at least reach that $300 mark. She had a substantial guest list, so I've been coaching her to make sure and get orders from those who can't attend, and talked to her yesterday again about the importance of reminder calls. Maybe tonight will be my first decent show $$-wise for December!
My host for Monday did call me in a panic at the beginning of this week, because she already had 18 rsvp's for her show! This is with a group of teachers in a rural area, and they always spend money - so I am looking forward to that one! It is a Cookie Exchange, so I made up a cute postcard (thanks to some help from fellow cheffers!) with a reminder for the party, and amending the cookie amount from 2 dozen to 4 dozen.

All of that to say that my only calls have still only been host coaching calls. I have 1 show from Nov. still floating out there - I MUST get that host to close! And I didn't think I would have to worry - but now my concern is that even with 5 shows and 2 catalog shows in December, I still won't make the $1500 mark to get the PC $!!!

Don't forget that it's 3 contacts a day, not three phone call contacts. If you're having lots of shows and ask everyone there if they would like to host a show then you're way over the 3 contact goal.
I had two people call me, yesterday, and one placed an order for $80 and another for $140. I'm putting them on the fundraiser show I had Tuesday, hoping to get her sales up to $600. I know I could have turned the two orders into my second December show, but I really want this fundraiser to get the 15% from HO. I really don't care about the heart dish. I'm running out of room anyway!

I made five contacts yesterday. One was a call about/delivery of the door prize from the Ladies' Day Out (LDO) on Saturday. I have a possible order (checking with her daughter) from another contact. My contacts were all from the LDO. It's funny how leery people sound when I first tell them who I am. Once they find out I'm not trying to pressure them to buy or host a party, they're generally appreciative of the call.I have a show tonight, so I'm hoping for lots of good contacts there.

yesterday was team calls, and I did manage to make some contacts too! I got an order from my email sale, $100:sing: thank you very much! Also had a past host call me to order for the sale, and ended up booking a show for February (that makes 5 now!) woo hooo!! Although during coaching I may try to get this to be here kick off show - she said when we closed her last show that she may be interested in after the new year. So, we'll see......;)

Last night, I had a show with about 10 guests in attendance. Sales are at $395, and NO BOOKINGS!!!!! It was an off night for me. Didn't have any one on one time at check out, and everyone checked NO all the way through their DPS (not even 1 maybe, and there were some past PC consultants there too).

Today, I arrive at the home of the host for the show, and the hubby is outside. He tells me his wife has been trying to reach me, but couldn't find my number (must have mis-placed all the catalogs, etc.) She was ill and needed to postpone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! UGHH!!!!! Although I drove about 58 miles round trip, I partly blame myself for not calling yesterday as I normally do for my 3rd call. I had a crazy day with the kids and it was just one of those days I wanted to pull my hair out, and then by the time I had some sanity left (when DH arrived home) it was time to prepare dinner and go to the show.

The host for tomorrow's scheduled show is MIA. I left another message today, but no return call.

So, I had no contacts today. I am really going to need to get on that phone on Monday!!!!!

I made a good honest try at contacts today.

Other than closing a show, all the contacts I've made have been answering machines. I think everyone must be out Christmas shopping or something. I called at least 5-6 people. I have my final show for December tomorrow and then it's just a matter of trying to collect some individual orders to make my own catty show and closing out the other open shows.

I haven't been on top of this in a while... at least on here for accountability however.... I have four shows this month, and I am $5,000.00 away from making my $15,000.00 career sales.......

Friday night I had a show with 5 in attendance. One booking from that.Saturday I had a show with 3 in attendance. One booking from that. Plus, I had another contact that resulted in an order. Since things are kind of winding down for the holidays, I feel pretty good about how things are going.

show last night - only 2 guests + host:grumpy: , BUT this was the MIA host, so I really didn't expect much. Did get a booking - April:yuck: But I'm really going to be working with this host alot this week, I think she could be a strong potential recruit lead! Just got the vibe that she is interested, but didn't want to appear that way, KWIM?
So, my sales this month have been totally crummy, but I'll get over it. My calendar is looking good. Guess I'll use the Christmas break preparing my biz for the new year and listening to training CDs on increasing sales!;)
I have some shows to close out but I think my calls for the rest of the month will be host coaching, recruit leads and team calls. So, please excuse my absence from the thread. I hope to come back stronger after the holidays!

oh, and I hope to meet some of you in January!!

Making calls today. I have 3 to invite to my cluster meeting tomorrow. I have several that need to rebook (canceled shows). I have a co-worker that tomorrow I've got to get the date final for January. My neighbor next door, I need to get the date finalized for January. I'm adding to my January calendar. This week is it. I'll have trouble finding people home next week or that want to even think about a show as we get closer to the holiday. I want a full January. I want the extra points.

I made one contact today. I wore a PC t-shirt when I went to Wal-Mart, and the girl behind the counter asked if I sold PC. She wanted a catty, so I gave her a mini-holiday catty. She was interested in ordering online, but not interested in hosting. I did not get her info though.

I had my final Dec. cooking show tonight. About 10 in attendence, but not everyone ordered.

Got 1 January cooking show out of it and 1 January catty show out of it.

I have some follow-up calls to make with those who didn't order that checked "maybe" on booking for the DPS. Hopefully I can get some more for January as I only have 2 cooking and 2 catty so far.....

i didn't make any calls yesterday, but I did meet up with my new recruit who has 3!!!! catalog shows to submit - she only signed her agreement last week!!

Collected a $105 order.

Spoke with a girl who (she says for sure) wants to sign up. She wants to wait till she can get to a computer to do it. We shall see.....

Not really counting it as a contact, but did get a nice order from my host from Sunday. Show should close by tomorrow hopefully.

3rd contact: I host from last month was going to give me an order this month from what she forgot to get through her show. Just talked to her today and it sounds like she has collected enough for a catty show and we should be closing it by tomorrow as well!

Now, isn't that SWEET!?!?:D :D When things like that happen I always feel like the heavens are smiling down on me!

No real contacts yesterday. Had my cluster meeting last night. Still trying to get my hosts that are still hanging on to close..........

Had a cooking show last night. Seven in attendance--was supposed to be 10, but some didn't show because of the weather. I got lost on the way there (lives out in the country & it was dark & icy so I couldn't see the street signs very well)!

I got a booking for Feb. 8 (double points--yay!), one for spring/summer (I'm calling back in Feb with the specials), and one who wants to do a wedding shower & registry for an October 2008 wedding! Plus the host is interested in the biz--so she may get the last two bookings, but that's ok! She's on vacation in January & wants to meet in February to chat. She was $15 away from the next level, so we're closing it tonight.

I plan on calling my January shows tonight to get host packets out to them. I have my last show for the month on Friday. That show will put me over for level 1 incentive!!!! My first time reaching any incentive level. Next year is a trip--using 3-2-1!

Don't want to jinx myself(seems like when I talk about a "sure thing" it always falls through)
.....but I was just talking with one of my recruit leads....she is trying to decide if she wants to sign in December or wait until January. It's an issue of having the $$ right at Christmas time - but I already have 2 bookings for her for January (Friends of hers who had booked with me, but I told her she could have their shows.) She asked me all kinds of good questions today.

And my host from Friday really wants to sign - just has to convince her SO that it is a good idea. She had 3 people at her show say that they would host if she became a consultant. She wants to sign by the end of the year!

AND! I have another recruit lead that wants to sign in January.

I'm hoping that I can get them to sign and qualify in Jan & Feb, and then that, along with double points, will put me at level one by the end of Feb!:D

great job Becky!

was able to close one show so far today. That's about it, alot of messages........

Talked to my host for this Friday's show about the recipe, etc. She is expecting 8-10 guests.

Spoke to Saturday's host, well it was supposed to be Saturday, but she has not postponed it until February!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (so she can have time to get the invites out, although I have coached her a few times already!!!!!!) She already postponed once on me. UGH!!!!! This is my third cancellation for December!! (out of 7-8 shows).

Spoke to another host about closing her show. I am waiting for her to call me back with her personal order.

And also talked to a past host that attended my 11/30 show (for her cousin). The 11/30 host has no phone right now, and no e-mail, so I have no way of contacting her to close her show out. I asked her cousin to have her contact me. (I also sent her a letter over the weekend to contact me.)

I called a lead that I met in August that asked me to call her in December when she got her own apartment. Now she is not interested!! UGH!

Other than that, left 2-3 messages on answering machines.

I collected an order for a $50 gift certificate yesterday and then had a $105 order cancel b/c her niece was having a pc party.

Other than that, just closed shows.

Oh ya, I did a customer care call and got an ear full from a customer about how lame it was that the 3-tierd stand didn't come with any plates and how she wants a refund. (I did inform her at the time of purchase that the price included the stand only. guess she wasn't listening. Also the 30 days from the time party shipped ended 5 days ago so it looks like she's out the shipping too!)

Still have to do my 3-2-1 today.

Tuesday night I had my Grinch Party, so I didn't do any CCCs. This evening I have a party to close and a church service to attend. I don't anticipate being able to make many contacts, but I may get one or two in.

Rae, did you explain your Grinch party? I must have missed it, but I'm curious! What was it all about??

It's really just a good excuse for women to get together to talk, laugh, and eat.

The idea is that about this time of year, with all the hustle, bustle, and obligations, you're in real danger of becoming a Grinch. To avoid that, I invite friends (a mixture of old friends and new ones) over for a girls-only party. They are instructed to come comfy. Many come in their jammies. I'm in my jammies when they arrive. They are not to bring anything. It's a no-obligation evening. They're invited for an hour, because, no matter how busy you are, you should be able to get away for an hour. (Many stay muuuuch later. :)) I serve simple, sleep-over foods (chips, popcorn, cookies, fudge, sodas).

The first 15 minutes or so, we fill our plates and catch up. We then watch the original, animated version of How the Grinch Stole Christmas. After that, we just sit and talk.

This is the 7th year I've done it. It's become a tradition that my friends really anticipate. They start asking me the date in October, so they can reserve it on their calendars.

The fun thing is that the first year one of my friends had never seen the show. Last night, one of my new friends saw it for the first time.

What a great idea Rae! Sounds fun and I can't believe that anyone hasn't seen the Grinch at least once in their life!
