Boost Your Conference Club: Fun Ideas and Tips for Group Gatherings

Every year a group of Directors in my area do a conference club thing. We keep an email loop going of all those going to conference and we do a pre conference get together. One year it was a BBQ and other times a casual get together. At the gathering we give them all little things to take to conference.
We are doing a raffle this year for $100 conference cash. But are trying to come up with other ideas for the get together.
Does anyone do anything special for conference goers in their group?

One idea we have is to give them each a conference survival kit. This could include items such as granola bars, gum, mints, pocket-sized notebooks, pens, water bottles, and other small items they may need during the conference. We could also provide them with a welcome packet that contains a list of useful information about the conference and the surrounding area. We could also create a scavenger hunt in the area where the conference is being held. This would give everyone an opportunity to explore the area and get to know each other better at the same time. We could also have a panel of past and present conference attendees who could share their experiences and advice. This would help new attendees know what to expect and how to make the most out of the conference. Finally, we could organize a happy hour for everyone to relax and socialize after the conference. This could be a great way for people to connect, network, and reflect on their experience.

I think it's great that you have a pre-conference get together and give little gifts to conference attendees.
