In summary, the person speaking has had a difficult time getting bookings for their business and has tried various methods with limited success. They are now considering offering a 'Free Lunch' to local businesses in exchange for catalogs and orders, but are looking for suggestions on how to make it more effective. Some potential ideas include hosting a "Lunch and Learn" or fundraising event, offering special discounts or promotions, and utilizing social media to promote the event. It seems, almost all of the sudden my bookings all canceled for February. So I was working my email and phone list and have gone through everyone of my 100- 'not interested'. I walked the streets and only got one show. So here's my idea: To go to businesses in the area and offer them a 'Free Lunch' in exchange for leave catalogs and order forms. But so far the businesses take my lunch and give no orders. Any suggestions? What should I call it? Anyone have flyers?

search for posts on "pampering a business" there were lot's of people doing this last summer.

What should I say to the businesses? Some potential suggestions for this situation could include:1. Instead of offering a "Free Lunch," consider offering a "Lunch and Learn" or "Business Networking Lunch." This could make it more appealing to businesses as they may see it as an opportunity to network and potentially gain new customers.2. Offer a special discount or promotion for businesses who place a certain amount of orders or host a party. This could incentivize them to take action and place orders.3. Consider partnering with a local charity or organization and hosting a fundraising event. This could attract businesses who are interested in giving back to the community and may be more likely to place orders if it benefits a good cause.4. Instead of just leaving catalogs and order forms, offer to do a short presentation or demonstration of your products during the lunch. This could help showcase the products and make them more appealing to potential customers.5. Utilize social media to promote your lunch event and reach out to local businesses. You could create a catchy hashtag and encourage businesses to share the event with their followers. As for what to say to businesses, here are a few potential ideas:- "Hello, my name is and I am a [Your Company] consultant. I am offering a complimentary lunch and networking event for local businesses in the area. Would you be interested in attending and learning more about our products?"- "We are looking to partner with local businesses and offer a special discount on our products for their employees. Would you be interested in learning more about this opportunity?"- "We are hosting a fundraising event for [Charity/Organization] and would love for your business to join us. In exchange for a small donation, we will provide a delicious lunch and a presentation on our products. Would you be interested in participating?"- "We would like to offer a special discount for businesses who place a certain amount of orders with us. Would you be interested in learning more about this promotion and potentially placing an order for your employees?"- "We are hosting a 'Lunch and Learn' event for local businesses and would love for you to join us. Our products are perfect for corporate gifts and employee incentives. Would you be interested in attending and learning more about our offerings?"
