Normally not home during the daytime...usually at the hospital ~ but I'm HOME:D!!!

YEP! She's out of the coma again!:love::D:D She woke up when Robyn and I were going to come home to shower (we take the night shift, Dad comes in at about 9 AM) and then go back to the hospital. We stayed for a bit...she's in pain, but she said not as bad as "yesterday" (she "thinks" it was yesterday!).

Robyn asked if she was going to stay up this time...nice to-the-point granddaughter! LOL Mom said yes...go home and get some rest, she said. I sit here laughing as I type this...she's the one that needs the rest, but again, worried about us.

Our Youth Group trip is tomorrow...so Robyn told Grams "you can't do NOTHING while we're gone." My sisters and brother insisted I go with my group (I'm the Youth Director) and they can handle the weekend duty since Robyn and I have been on "duty" most of the time during the week since they work. I'll be back on Sunday late afternoon/early evening...guess where Robyn and I will head to before coming home?

So right now? We're doing GREAT!!! Thanks everyone for your prayers and kind thoughts, checking in on updates! You guys are the BEST! But I'll update one last time tonight before I head to bed.

I may be flying down to Los Angeles this weekend for a quick trip (depends on my Mom's condition). My cousin from Hawaii (my Aunt's only living son) flying into to Sacramento to see my Mom before he heads down to LA. So I'm thinking of making the trip with him. My Aunt hasn't had any of the family (the ones living in the LA area) visiting her?!?!?! Including her grandkids! Hmmmm....

Geez...I can tell I'm working on very little sleep...I've got my Youth Group trip...I can't go to LA this weekend! I'll be going sometime next week.

It's rather amazing. They had her up in a chair today...first step. She got tired quickly, but it's a step. Because of the numerous broken bones, it takes 6 folks to move her gingerly to the chair. But she was IN the chair for about 20 minutes...about all she could take. If everything goes well tonight/tomorrow, the Dr said she would order a room change! She did mention, she's "moving" slow with Mom since the in/out of coma thing going on.

Mom also said the pain is not as bad as the other day...Yeah! So it sounds like the pain management system they are using is working better.

So thing's are looking better...Mom kicked Robyn and I out of her room about a half hour ago and said "go home, pack and have fun!" Bless her heart...you KNOW I will be calling her while I'm gone :D !\

Have a GREAT weekend everyone...again, thanks so much for everything ~ I'll update you when I get home on Sunday.

You're soooo sweet Linda!

Just got into town ~ went directly to the hospital. Mom's doing okay. Had a little set back yesterday, something going on with her blood pressure, white blood cell count and pain was causing problems for Mom. I said to my Dad, the blood pressure tends to go up when you're experiencing increased pain. Mom has had white blood cell problem for the past 10 years...so they're looking at the meds now. She hasn't eaten for the past 36 hours, so they put her on additional IVs. She was happy to see Robyn and I even though we looked like crap...tired...pooped. My sister has tomorrow off, so I'm off duty until Tuesday...yeah!

OH! They found out over the weekend ~ the 18 broken bones...well, it's 23!

As far as rest, none. Refreshed? Well, it was just nice to get away for a little bit since the stress we've been under, especially for Robyn. I feel bad since she should be enjoying her summer, but instead she's at the hospital instead. But she's fine with that, she wouldn't have it any other way. So it was nice to see her laugh and have fun with the kids. She called Gramps a few times, but if it gave her peace, so be it. Yep, I called OFTEN!

Thanks...

Wow - 23 broken bones!!! She, your dad, and you will continue to be in my prayers. Remember to get some rest yourself!

Omg Ginny, 23? That's terrible. Your parents will continue to be in my prayers.

WOW! 23? Hope she can recover soon and all of you get some much needed rest. Will keep all of you in my prayers!

Continuing prayers Ginny.

23! Wow! Sounds like she's progressing and healing. Thanks for keeping us updated. Get some rest!

Thanks for the update, Ginny! Will keep prayers going your way. I must say too that Robyn sounds like a pretty awesome kid! :D You have a great family! :)

I believe she's 16 or 17. That' if my memory is serving me right. I met GInny and her daughter in San Francisco on the incentive trip.

Good memory Kristi ~ she turned 17 on June 14...flag day!

Yes, we are amazed of the number of broken bones...especially since Dad came out without a scratch or even a bruise! Mom' has osteoporosis, so I'm sure that plays part into this.

Dad called me from the hospital and said Mom ate a little breakfast this morning. He says it's because Robyn and I came home. I hope not. Because if that's the case, she's got to be doing a LOT better if I'm going to conference.

Dad also said they've adjusted her meds, so she's resting a little better now.

Ginny, I am so thrilled to hear that your mom is coming through this. I am still praying that God will totally heal her through everything. WOW!! It really does go to show you that God does answer prayers. Stay strong Ginny! Remember to take time for you too. :)

Your prayers are working!!! I just got home from the hospital. Mom was moved OUT OF ICU before I came home! Yahoo!!! :sing::sing: This is a BIG giant step! Dr said she may come home as soon as this weekend/early next week! So the number 13 (# of days in ICU) isn't an unlucky number for my family!!!:D:D:D
