I always seem to be too late with my discoveries and another consultant is already signed up. :grumpy:

I do Farmer's Markets, and at the market, I network with other vendors, one in particular (the purse lady) and I contact each other when we find out about a booth, I have gotten several that way (through networking) I also always mention it at shows, that is how I got 3 booths last Fall. It is really about getting your name out, and making sure you "own" your community. When people in my town hear "Pampered Chef" I want them to see MY face!!!!!!

Start your own! Definitely "networking". Of course, I just call it being friends with other direct sales people. I agree about people think you when they think PC. I have been asked by FOUR separate people to be involved in an upcoming craft fair at my daughter's school. Teachers, moms, staff, etc. It's pretty funny since I don't have much contact with them really. If another consultant is signed up and it isn't big enough for both of you (it would have to be pretty big...300+ booths), then just ask if they could contact you if they ever have an opening. If it's an annual thing, ask if you can just check with them (in case they forget to contact you). There are two of us that seem to do the booths here so if it's not me, it's her.
