I was just wondering if anyone knows what we can cook for a free cooking show. I don't want to spend a lot of money on it if it's "free."

Thanks!

I was gonna say the 3-cheese garden pizza, but you can't buy tomatos anywhere... What about a dessert?

Let's see ...

Many triffles are a "triffle" costly ...

I've found there is a problem with a microwave cake ... 10 minutes for the cake to cook, plus another 10 minutes for the cake to steam leaves a LOT of down time! Unless you're cutting up ($2.50 a pound) strawberries (and spinning them in the spinner) what are you going to do for 20 minutes? I am kind of thinking of microwave cakes as a "second recipe" option.

I am thinking of offering one or 2 "cost-effective" choices ... and explaning to the host that if they want something different, or a second recipe, they are welcome to purchase the ingredients.

I am getting ready to go on vacation and at my sidewalk sale, unexpectedly booked a party for JULY 5! I promised her I'd send her a guest list for her to return. I was going to include information about recipes, but I think we will have that discussion when I get back ...

Turtle Fudge Skillet Cake!

do a micro cake and a drink recipe, maybe the mojitos... that should take up a fairly good amount of time

Chocolate Chip Sensation or Chocolate Velvet Strawberry Cake are my favorite cheap recipes. I usually let the host pick from what I offer. Most of them are under $10 anyway.

What is Chocolate Chip Sensation?

And don't we have to be sensitive to avoid oven recipes this time of year? Or should we assume that people have central air like I do?

It's only the best recipe ever! The best part about it is that you cook the cookie base at home as it needs to be cooled to put the toppings on it. I usually bake mine the night before. It's in the All The Best cookbook I think. Do a search in the files, you should find it. It's a little bit of heaven on a cookie!:balloon: :balloon:
