I know it is on here somewhere but I should be working and need to get the info to my host for this weekends party. How big does the microwave need to be to fit the DCB and cook the pork tenderloin??

Thanks in Advance!!!
Jill

I think its on CC under the recipes or the Pork Tenderloin tips.

I think its 13" for the microwave & they recommend 1000w+. Mine is an over the range style & it just fits if I make sure I have it perfectly centered.

Yup, its 13" X 13" X 7" high

Will it absolutely not fit at all, or just not rotate?

If it fits, but not well enough to rotate, the rotate manually halfway through the cooking process.

My micro doesn't have a turntable, so I always have to manually rotate it. Works fine. :)

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a DCB in Pampered Chef?

A DCB, or Deep Covered Baker, is a versatile stoneware piece from Pampered Chef designed for cooking a variety of dishes, including pork tenderloin. It allows for even cooking and retains moisture, making it ideal for tender meats.

What size microwave is needed to fit a DCB?

To fit a Pampered Chef DCB in your microwave, you typically need a microwave with an interior height of at least 10 inches and a width of at least 14 inches. Always measure your microwave's interior dimensions to ensure a proper fit.

Can I use a DCB in a smaller microwave?

Using a DCB in a smaller microwave is not recommended, as it may not fit properly and could lead to uneven cooking. It's best to use a microwave that meets the minimum size requirements for optimal results.

What if my microwave is too small for the DCB?

If your microwave is too small for the DCB, consider using an oven instead. The DCB is oven-safe and can be used to cook pork tenderloin and other dishes at various temperatures, providing an alternative cooking method.

Are there any specific cooking times for pork tenderloin in a DCB?

Cooking times for pork tenderloin in a DCB can vary based on the weight of the meat and the wattage of your microwave. Generally, a 1.5 to 2-pound pork tenderloin will take about 12-15 minutes on high power, but it's important to check for an internal temperature of 145°F for safety.
