Do you all have any suggestions what I should serve at my open house?? I am not doing a demo, I want to have a food already prepared. I've planned to have a coffee/hot chocolate/cider beverage bar set up. Suggestions for that would be great too!

I had the Rocky Road Brownie Squares - they make a lot in the large bar pan.

I did the dill weed dip with vegetables.

I am having a "guys Only" show tomorrow night, and making touchdown taco dip and cheedar and beef stuffed sandwich

I would definitely include the Chocolate Pecan Lattice Tart and recommend having Vanilla Ice Cream to serve with it. That recipe has been a huge hit for me. You will sell a bunch of Ice Cream Dippers if you serve the ice cream with one!

I also agree the Touchdown Taco Dip is great to serve and easy to make. That always go very fast.

I did baked brie and phyllo wrapped asaragus... and lot of sweets!

Frequently Asked Questions

What types of food should I serve at my open house?

Consider serving a variety of appetizers, finger foods, and small bites that are easy to eat while mingling. Options like cheese platters, vegetable trays with dip, mini quiches, and bite-sized desserts are great choices. You can also include some Pampered Chef recipes to showcase your products in action.

How many different dishes should I prepare for my open house?

A good rule of thumb is to prepare 3-5 different dishes to provide variety without overwhelming yourself. This allows guests to sample different flavors while keeping the preparation manageable. Make sure to include a mix of savory and sweet options.

Should I consider dietary restrictions when planning my menu?

Yes, it's important to consider dietary restrictions. Try to include at least one vegetarian and one gluten-free option to accommodate guests with specific dietary needs. Labeling the food can also help guests identify what they can eat easily.

Can I prepare food in advance for my open house?

Absolutely! Many dishes can be prepared in advance, which can help reduce stress on the day of the event. Items like dips, desserts, and cold salads can be made the day before. Just ensure that any hot dishes are cooked and kept warm before serving.

What drinks should I offer at my open house?

Offering a selection of beverages can enhance the experience. Consider providing a mix of non-alcoholic options like flavored water, iced tea, and lemonade, along with a few alcoholic choices like wine or cocktails if appropriate. Having a signature drink can also add a fun touch to your event.
