What is the line you use the most for bookings at your shows?

My fave booking line is... "you book it I will cook it!!"

do you mean a booking bid then? I try to make sure I use 6 at each show but the one I always always remember to say is when I hold up the food chopper and say

"PC actually gives more food choppers away for free to hosts than we sell. It's the most popular item to spend your host points on"

Here's one that I've had a lot of succes with - I've been averaging 3+ bookings a show!

Pick the three theme shows you most enjoy doing, or that your host had mentioned liking, and talk to your host about them before her show: "Susie, I really want you to earn as many future host specials as possible - especially 60% off stoneware this month and 60% off a new knife in October. Plus you seemed really excited about some of our other theme shows. Let's think of some people who are coming tonight who would enjoy hosting a show. For example, I'm just dying to have you at a Thrill of the Grill show - which of your guests loves to grill?" She answers something like "Well, Debbie just bought a new grill..." You go on, etc. with different show themes. Then at the show you say:

"Susie is so excited to have you all here tonight for her Death by Chocolate party, but honestly she had trouble deciding between this and many of our other fun theme shows so she's really looking forward to coming over to *your* homes and learning even more great recipes. [Susie nods excitedly] Susie, who here do you think would enjoy learning some BBQ and grilling tips at our Thrill of the Grill show?"

And you continue - not necessarily all at the same time, but spaced throughout the show - with the other guests and themes you talked about beforehand. This also gives you a good lead-in later when you talk one-on-one with Debbie. "Susie is really excited about you hosting a Thrill of the Grill show. Let's set a date while the weather is still good."

Another thing that works with this technique is getting the crowd to all agree they would love to come to Debbie's Thrill of the Grill show. "Wouldn't you all love to learn how to grill chicken without burning it; or make an incredibly easy dessert on your GRILL?!" You look at Debbie: "Well, Debbie, there is the start of your guest list! Be sure to get everyone's names and phone numbers before you leave tonight."

I like these.
Mine is at the end of the show I say so do you like what you've seen so far? Do you want it all? I can help you get your product 3 diiferent ways. 1. as a customer 2. as a host (explain benefits again) 3. as a consultant

I think the reason I like it is it talks about booking and recruiting.

twinmomjen,

where in WA state are you from? (If you don't mind me asking)

Dont know if this is what gets them, but my director told us to entice them w/ food.

When you hold your show, I'll make a delicious chocolate mousse and you can serve chocolate martinis, call the girls over and just hang out and have fun when I leave. (or whatever else you can come up with that sounds fantastic)

At the end of the show, I'm sure to ask each guest if they would like to "help (Suzie Host) by gathering their own friends together sometime."

:):) :) Bump. :) :) :)

I usually mention while talking about what hosts get for free....."You invite the guests.....I'll do the rest!" That way it makes it seem easy to have a show...I put it all on myself and they usually book!

I've just started using this toward the end of my shows, but it's working.

Now that you've had a chance to see our great products. Who would like to receive a $60 shopping spree to purchase anything in the catalog?

Ooh, several of you. Okay, who would like to be able to pick any two products from the catalog and get them at half price?

Want to know how?

Invite your friends over so they can see all my great stuff, just like [insert host's name here] did for you.

One on OneI do make an announcement to everyone during my show that hosting a show is the best way to get Pampered Chef products for FREE, half off and discounted. I take them to page 47 and start with this line:

"My average show is $500, so if we look on the host chart on page 47 we can see what you would receive for hosting your very own show at $500 in sales........."

"Doesn't that sound like a great way to not only get some products for yourself but also a great way to shop for upcoming birthdays, anniversaries, and Christmas?"

Then when everyone comes up to bring me their order I usually ask them if they would be interested in having a show. This is where I hear the usual excuses and I find a way to overcome them with solutions!

Guest - "Well I really don't have time to do a show."
Me - "Would you ever consider doing a show during the week while the kids are at school, and you could invite your friends over for coffee and lunch?"
If I still get a no and they insist they are too busy, I explain the catalog show. I have always booked at least one catalog show at my shows.

Guest - "Well I don't know enough people to have a show."
Me - "Here is a list (I always have it at my shows with me) to give you an idea of who to invite: Family, friends from church, friends from your children's school, friends from your children's sports or after school activites, neighbors, teachers, etc....
If I still get a no and they insist that they don't know enough people I give them a challenge, I tell them that I will give them $10 in FREE products, FREE shipping and 20% off anything else they want in the catalog if they bring me back ten orders.
It's funny cause I had this lady actually do this for me last August. She actually brought me 12 orders and it was for $320. I told her see and you thought you didn't know anybody. She was surprised that a couple of ladies from her doctor's office ordered, some neighbors, and some friends. I showed her the back of the catalog and told her that she actually did a catalog show and didn't even know it, so instead of just $10 in FREE stuff she could now receive $25 in FREE stuff. She was shocked!!!

I told her that if she actually had a show in her home with some family members and a few more friends she hadn't talked to, she could move from the catalog side of the chart to the kitchen show side and get even more FREE stuff. She agreed and after all was said and done she ended up with $550 in sales and she is now a lady who hosts for me each year!!

It's amazing if we have a positive attitude and if we help find solutions to their problems, we can usually overcome a no!
