I have to vent. My neighbor behind me introduced herself to me a year ago (2 days after I moved in) with " Did you know your dog barks? For those of us who don't like animals it's annoying."
Since our lovely introduction, she has called the police 5 times in the last month. Twice because my kids were playing too loudly in the backyard. The other three were for the dog barking. Mind you, our dog is indoors except to do the duty. The last time she called was two days before fourth of July when neighbors were letting off illegal fireworks. Dogs will bark. My dog was outside only while we went to the store for 15 minutes. I barely get out of the car door and she's screaming at me and my husband.
Today we get served two letters from the police. One for our dog barking and listing 3 dates that it has disturbed "a neighbor". The other letter is for our suburban parked in our driveway. It's ugly because the roof had rusted, but it's our vehicle. It's been sitting, because my husband needs help pulling the engine to do some work on it. We haven't had the money to do this. We now have until next Tuesday to show that it moves, or have it moved, or we will be fined. We don't live in an association, but because our vehicle doesn't run the city labels it as "junk".
We know it was her. Just two days ago she yelled at my son for playing in the pool too loud (He's 14). She doesn't have the guts to talk personally to us. Now we get the letter. Coincidence? No!
This neighbor isn't loved by anyone that has animals. We've spoken to other neighbors and they say they have rarely heard our dog bark since she stays indoors and my husband works from home. They've had run=-ins with her too.
Not a Christianly thought, but I noticed her weeds are coming through my fence. I think some roundup will take care of that. I think we need some brighter lights on our back porch. Uggh.
