I have a show tonight and I am using the cookie press, I've used it at home with no problem except when the stone was hot they wouldn't stick. so I just used another one.But at the show I'm using only one. Someone told me to use parchment paper but I have never worked with it before. Any tips would be so helpful.
Thanks,

I attached a file I got a few years ago that should help you out.

Thank you!! That's great.

I tried using parchment paper over the holidays and the cookies wouldn't stick. Once I took it off, they stuck just fine to the stone

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if my cookie press is not working properly?

If your cookie press is not working properly, first ensure that it is assembled correctly and that the dough is not too thick. You may need to adjust the consistency of your dough by adding a little more liquid or fat. Additionally, check for any clogs in the nozzle or disk and clean them thoroughly.

How can I prevent my cookie dough from sticking to the cookie press?

To prevent sticking, make sure your cookie dough is well-chilled before using the press. You can also lightly dust the inside of the press with flour or use a non-stick cooking spray. If the dough continues to stick, try using a different type of parchment paper or silicone baking mat.

What type of parchment paper is best for baking cookies?

For baking cookies, it is best to use unbleached parchment paper, as it is more heat-resistant and less likely to impart any flavor to your cookies. Make sure to choose a high-quality parchment paper that can withstand high temperatures without burning or smoking.

How can I make sure my cookies come off the parchment paper easily?

To ensure your cookies come off easily, allow them to cool on the parchment paper for a few minutes after baking. This helps them set and reduces the chance of breaking. You can also use a spatula to gently lift the edges of the cookies before transferring them to a wire rack.

What adjustments should I make if my cookie press is not dispensing dough evenly?

If your cookie press is not dispensing dough evenly, check that the dough is not too dry or too wet, as this can affect the flow. Ensure that the disk is properly aligned and that the plunger is moving smoothly. If necessary, try a different disk design or adjust the pressure you are applying while pressing.
