If you go to consultant's corner under products, there is a list of all products according to price in ascending order.

Goodness, I new we had a lot but did not realize just how many!

Here are the interesting stats:
$10 or less: 96 items, 30.3% of the catalog
$10.25-$15: 73 items, 23.0% of the catalog
(right there, that's more than half of the book!)
$15.25-$20: 39 items, 12.3% of the catalog
$20.25-$30: 38 items, 12.0% of the catalog
(now we're to more than 3/4 of the book!)
$30.25-$40: 29 items, 9.1%
$40.25-$50: 11 items, 3.5%
$50.25-$100: 18 items, 5.7%
Over $100: 13 items, 4.1%

So anyone who says they can't afford our products isn't aware of the actual cost breakdown!

Wow, Ann! That is information I can use ... particularly when people think our stuff is too expensive for their friends to buy them wedding/shower gifts from us.

The trap people get stuck in is noticing something like the cookware sets that are the most expensive thing in the catalog. Then they assume that everything has a 3-digit price. Or they compare our prices to those of much cheaper tools at the dollar store or discount store. No comparison! They need to compare us to Williams-Sonoma, Sur La Table, Crate & Barrel, etc.

I cannot wait until the next time someone tells me they cannot find something they can afford to be able to say "Well, 50% of the catalog is under $15 and 75% is is under $30."

What do you do with this listSorry guys, I'm new... first show was last Monday. How do you use this list? In your presentation, when people are ordering and are close to the special... I think it would be a great tool if I knew what to do with it... KWIM?

BTW, the catalog stats are great!

That's exactly what you can do with it. Tell them, "You're only $8 from getting this month's free product. Is there anything else you need for your self or as a gift?" And then you can show them a list sorted by price. (Of course, we'd love them to add $12 instead of just $8...)

One of the reasons I wanted to sell PC ,except of course I use it and love it--is that there are so many very affordable products. I was surprised that I could not find small items in the Southern Living Catalog. Sometimes I am going just to support a friend and my strategy is to buy several small things I can give as gifts. That is totally possible with PC--not everyone has a budget to buy more expensive items, but we want them to have a great time at our shows anyway.

There's a list on CC, under downloads, that has all our products in order by price. If that's not nerdy enough, here's a file I did (it's in Excel, which isn't a valid file type for this forum, so I created a zip file with that in it) that has old items as well (good if you're looking for retired prices, etc.). One page has the handy stats about price categories.
